Kyle Walker signs new Man City deal with hilarious ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ vid after Bayern Munich transfer U-turn

January 15, 2024 by humorouz Leave a Comment

KYLE WALKER has signed a new contract at Manchester City running until 2026, and subsequently recreated an iconic movie scene to announce it.

The experienced defender was strongly linked with Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window, but has now committed to City.

Walker’s new deal will keep him at the Etihad until he is 36.

Channelling his inner Leonardo DiCaprio, the full-back shouted “I’m not leaving” in a scene reminiscent of The Wolf of Wall Street.

In the announcement video, Walker’s team-mates all cheered and jumped around to celebrate.

After signing on the dotted line, the 33-year-old told City’s website: “I’m thrilled to sign a new deal.

“My future is with Manchester City and that is the best thing for me.

“I’ve enjoyed every single moment of the past six years at this fantastic Club.

“I have an amazing coach, great team-mates and staff and our fans are the best. I feel supported on every single level.

“The Treble-winning season is one I will never forget and we’re ready to go again and try to win more trophies.

“I am delighted to continue at a Club that competes for trophies every year and I can’t wait to see what the next few years bring.”

City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain added: “We are very happy that Kyle will be here until 2026.

“He is an outstanding footballer and his speed, strength and experience make him such an important member of our squad.

“For me, he is the best right-back in the world, a player with a unique set of attributes. He brings a very special dynamic to our team.

“Kyle has been a huge part of our recent success, and we are confident that he will help us compete for trophies in the upcoming seasons.”

In July it was claimed that Walker had verbally agreed to join Bayern Munich.

But he later decided to stay at City following talks with Guardiola.

Walker was spotted going for dinner with his manager at swanky Japanese restaurant MUSU in Manchester last month.

The full-back joined City from Tottenham in a £50million deal in 2017.

He has since won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups and the Champions League.#

Walker has played 260 times for City and has also won 78 England caps.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate admitted earlier this week that he has twice talked Walker out of international retirement.

Farah Khan Reveals Aamir Khan’s Hilarious Excuse To Skip Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ Song Shoot – Entertainment

January 15, 2024 by humorouz Leave a Comment

‘Om Shanti Om, directed by director Farah Khan, achieved remarkable success, with its star-studded song ‘Deewangi’ becoming an iconic highlight of the film. This unforgettable musical sequence featured 31 prominent movie stars making special appearances, creating an unforgettable cinematic moment. Farah Khan recently shared insights into her efforts to include Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan in the song, albeit unsuccessfully.

In a candid conversation on Maniesh Paul’s podcast, Farah Khan shed light on why Aamir Khan decided not to participate in the song. She said, “We reached out to different stars, but some were not able to make it. Amit ji had prior commitments, and Abhishek and Aishwarya were tying the knot that week. Aamir’s reason was rather amusing; he initially kept me in suspense, eventually citing that he needed to focus on editing ‘Taare Zameen Par.’ I even offered to wrap up his part in just two hours.”

Farah went on to recount, “Subsequently, he contacted me and offered his rationale, saying, ‘Farah, if I step away from editing for just two hours to join the shoot, it would set back my film’s release by six months.’ Eventually, I assured him that it wasn’t a concern. Later, when I inquired further about his choice, he candidly stated, ‘I simply didn’t wish to attend.”

Farah had previously shared her intention to have Shah Rukh Khan arrange for Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu to participate in the song. She revealed, “The entire industry came together for the title song, and it led to some impromptu moments like Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s desire to witness Dharmendraji’s dance moves.”

The star-studded lineup for ‘Deewangi’ included Priyanka Chopra, Rekha, Tabu, Karisma Kapoor, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Juhi Chawla, among other notable names. “Om Shanti Om” also marked the Bollywood debut of Deepika Padukone.

80 Clever Science Memes That Have Been Scientifically Proven To Cause Laughter

January 14, 2024 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Humor helps you remember information far more easily. So when you combine education with entertainment, you create something truly stunning. The ‘Basic Physics’ Facebook group is an extremely popular community that shares witty and relatable science memes.

We’ve compiled a list of the funniest ones to share with you, Pandas, to prove that science doesn’t have to be boring at all. Scroll down for the best memes, as featured on the group, and remember to upvote the ones you liked the most. Bored Panda has reached out to the team running ‘Basic Physics’ on Facebook, and we’ll update the article as soon as we hear back from them.

At the time of writing, the ‘Basic Physics’ group has a jaw-dropping 2.1 million members. The community has grown by leaps and bounds since it was founded in early October of 2018. The members are very active and in the last month alone, they’ve made 286 new posts.

Meanwhile, the team running ‘Basic Physics’ is fairly large. It’s made up of 7 administrators, as well as 9 moderators. It makes sense to have so many people from all over the world on the team, considering the massive size of the group itself.

The team managing the community calls it a ‘scientific group’ and claims that its mission is to present the public with highly educational posts about physics and its various branches.

According to the group founders, these include classical mechanics, thermodynamics and statistical mechanics, electromagnetism and electronics, relativity, quantum mechanics, string theory, quantum gravity, loop quantum gravity, optics, atomic, molecular, and optical physics, condensed matter physics, high energy/particle physics and nuclear physics.

However, not all posts have to be super serious and focused just on physics. General memes about science and math are welcome, too.

According to the administrators and moderators, as the community continues to expand, it’s important, more now than ever before, to create a welcoming environment while also staying true to the group’s original vision.

The team running the entire project stresses that it’s vital that members are respectful of one another. They urge Facebook users to treat each other like they themselves would want to be treated. Especially during online arguments. “Healthy debate is natural, but humility is also necessary,” the team writes.

The ‘Basic Physics’ admins and mods also want every member to feel safe. “Bullying of any kind is not allowed and any derogatory comments related to things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity will not be tolerated,” they explain that there’s no tolerance for intolerance.

#16

#17

#18

On top of that, there’s a certain expectation that all members give back more to the community than they get from it. That means that everyone should avoid spamming the group, posting irrelevant links, or promoting themselves. “To be a part of this group, there will be a need to establish mutual trust. Authentic, passionate discussions improve the group, but these discussions can also be sensitive and personal. Content shared in a group must remain in the group.”

Though it’s impossible to predict what memes will go viral, some posts tend to do better than others on social media. One key aspect of a quality meme will be its relatability.

The more your chosen audience can resonate with your posts, the more likely people are to engage with them and then share them with their own friends and followers. Throw in a bunch of humor and you create an even more powerful concoction.

#22

#23

#24

On the flip side, if your memes are very niche or overly complicated, they might not get a lot of attention. Of course, you should definitely keep in mind that there’s definitely nothing wrong with making and sharing niche memes. If you enjoy doing that as a content creator, then more power to you!

But you shouldn’t expect overnight internet fame if you focus on jokes that are about a small subsection of a more general branch of physics. Then again, internet popularity sometimes comes when someone least expects it…

#25

#26

#27

On top of that, making your memes ‘evergreen’ can give them a longer shelf life than if they were entirely based on recent news. General memes about science or what it’s like to be a researcher can remain relevant for years and potentially even decades to come than posts that require a lot of additional context to get.

So, dear Pandas, which of these science memes did you like the most? Were there any that made you chuckle harder than you’d care to admit? Were there any posts that you didn’t quite get because they needed more knowledge in physics? We’d love to hear your thoughts, so when you’re done enjoying our post, be sure to drop by the comment section to share your opinions!

PUBLIC DISTRUST: GOP impeachment inquiry falls flat with hilarious Dem trolling

January 14, 2024 by humorouz Leave a Comment

House Republicans on Thursday began the process of appeasing their putative leader by pretending that impeachment is in order for allegations they cannot support with evidence.

As Donald Trump faces criminal indictment on 91 felony charges backed up with copious evidence, House Republicans strive to convince the public that President Joe Biden is really the “crooked” one.

They want to convince Trump they’re fighting for him and shouldn’t be hit with primary challenges and to convince Trump’s most ardent fans not to target them for the Trumpian brand of “removal” attempted on January 6th.

To meet those ends, they opened an impeachment inquiry rather than address the looming prospect of a government shutdown (which they know, thanks to his public statements saying so, that Trump is in favor of).

The hearing featured three witnesses brought by Republicans — and one from Democrats — all four of whom admitted that they did not bring any actual evidence of wrongdoing on Biden’s part.

Democrats met the challenge, calling out the hypocrisy and projection of their GOP colleagues.

Republicans, for their part, handled it by trying to block and cover their points, including calling for a recess rather than addressing the question of whether Rudy Giuliani should be called as a fact witness, and talking over a Congressman who tried to introduce the testimony of one of the star witnesses.

Jonathan Turley, a Fox News analyst and Republican witness, opened up his testimony by admitting that there is not sufficient evidence for articles of impeachment, undermining the entire proceedings.

In fact, Representative Summer Lee (D-PA), given her turn to speak, re-emphasized this and noted that hours into the inquiry, Republicans had failed to present an iota of evidence. Republicans responded by trying to interrupt and shout over her!

At another point in the hearing, Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) entered into evidence a press release about the arrest of Lev Parnas for campaign finance violations.

Though he was trying to somehow make Parnas’ behavior a black mark on Biden, Parnas was — as Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) pointed out — an associate of Rudy Giuliani, who was actually involved in helping try to dig up dirt on Biden in Ukraine.

Speaking of Giuliani, when a Democratic Representative tried to call for a vote on making him appear before the committee, Republicans suddenly deflected by voting for a recess, instead.

That’s not all they tried to block.

In previous hearings, they’ve heard testimony from Devon Archer — supposedly their star witness against the Bidens.

Representative Dan Goldman (D-NY) tried to ensure that his testimony was entered into evidence — specifically, the portion where he admitted that there was no actual access to Joe Biden for his son’s business colleagues.

Republicans spoke over him multiple times before finally admitting the material into evidence.

Representative Gerry Connoly (D-VA) did an excellent job of highlighting hypocrisy by asking the witnesses about buildings in foreign countries with Biden’s name on them, Biden’s business dealings around the world, and a hefty multi-billion-dollar deal Biden’s son entered into — before correcting himself and saying actually, those things were Donald Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

In fact, Republicans didn’t just project but outright lied.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) caught them using manipulated images and presented the evidence that a text message presented by Republicans was a fake.

Still, perhaps the most important testimony of the day was by Representative Melanie Stansbury (D-NM), who demonstrated that the entire hearing is being done at the behest of the former president, not for the American people.

She shared social media posts and history showing that the hearing has been orchestrated by Trump, that House Republicans are keeping him in the loop, and that the impending shutdown is also at his behest.

Watch the clips below.

First, Turley admits that there is no evidence for impeachment — though he does believe an inquiry is justified.

Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley, one of the GOP’s impeachment witnesses, says: “I do not believe that the current evidence would support articles of impeachment… But I also do believe that the House has passed the threshold for an impeachment inquiry.” pic.twitter.com/x3cfYKwr5o

— Justin Baragona (@justinbaragona) September 28, 2023

Here’s James Comer interrupting Representative Lee as she points out his lack of evidence.

The heat appears to be getting to James Comer, as he interrupts Dem Rep. Summer Lee when she says the GOP doesn’t have a “smoking gun” or even the “evidence of evidence.”

“Can you read a bank statement?!” Comer shouts. pic.twitter.com/lLYQmcbDJL

— Justin Baragona (@justinbaragona) September 28, 2023

Comer’s projection of Parnas’ crimes onto the Bidens.

COMER: I’d like to enter a press release about Lev Parnas being sentenced to 20 months in prison for campaign finance, wire fraud, and false statement offenses

RASKIN: Yeah, he worked with Rudy Giuliani pic.twitter.com/AupgK6t3DK

— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) September 28, 2023

Watch Comer refuse to acknowledge a point of order from Goldman.

Comer really doesn’t want Archer’s testimony introduced.

Comer: You keep speaking about no evidence

Goldman: I’m trying to introduce evidence pic.twitter.com/0IWdx7vrfw

— Acyn (@Acyn) September 28, 2023

Connoly presents evidence that Republicans are projecting, as usual.

Brilliant stuff here from Connolly pic.twitter.com/F3rZlBmUe8

— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) September 28, 2023

Ocasio-Cortez brings the evidence that the whole event is a sham.

AOC: “We are wasting our time … this is an embarrassment” pic.twitter.com/XXaEtPXPDj

— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) September 28, 2023

Stansbury presents the evidence that the entire matter is being carried out for the benefit of Donald Trump.

Stansbury uses her questioning time to highlight how Trump is directing House Republican through his social media posts and also behind the scenes pic.twitter.com/BnfNYQsLTt

— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) September 28, 2023

Meanwhile, as Republicans waste their time and energy on a bogus impeachment inquiry, the nation is barreling toward a harmful government shutdown due to the GOP mismanagement of the legislative process.

Fun times!
