50 Introverts Share Spot-On And Funny Memes About Their Struggles On This Twitter Page

April 27, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

It seems like everywhere I go, there are just extraverts abound. They’re loud and they’re proud, but right here, on the internet, I know there are plenty of introverted pandas reading this. So this one goes out to you guys.

Anyone who’s snuggled up with a good book on Friday night, who works entirely remotely and who orders whatever they can online to avoid social interaction, we hope you enjoy this article that’s dedicated to introvert representation. Below, we’ve gathered some of our favorite pics from All About Introverts on Twitter, so be sure to upvote the ones that make you feel seen. (But thankfully, not literally. You’re safe in the comfort of your home, don’t worry!)

I am without a doubt an introvert myself, so I have to admit that many of these photos speak to my soul, pandas. I have no problem being social for limited amounts of time, but if I don’t get my one day a week completely alone when working from home, I start to go crazy. It can be so exhausting trying be “on” when in public, so there’s nothing better than walking home after a long day and not having to speak to anyone for an hour, or relaxing on the couch on a Sunday morning. Socializing too much gives me an actual headache, and when I don’t have time to decompress by journaling or taking time to process my thoughts, I start to spiral. Being an introvert is just something I am, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, despite what some extrovert-biased media might tell you.

That’s why pages like All About Introverts are so nice. It can be challenging to find introvert representation that doesn’t just portray us as socially awkward, shy individuals who are scared of ever leaving our homes. Sure, that may be the case for some people, but most introverts are perfectly normal in public; we just cherish those moments when we finally get to be alone. I can’t fully relax until I’m by myself, and I have always been that way. “Although we live in an extrovert world, introverts are valuable, centered members of society with so much to contribute,” All About Introverts writes on their site. “Our articles will highlight many of the things that make introverts extraordinary.”

Where you live, who you spend time with, and what you do for a living are just a few of the ways in which introverts can be impacted by the world around them.”

“At All About Introverts, we set out to inform and inspire introverts to discover and seek what makes them the best version of themselves,” they go on to explain. “This site will provide you with lots of great information to help introverts make the most of their careers and relationships. Introverts are an often misunderstood group of people. You might assume they’re always quiet, shy or plagued by social anxiety, but that doesn’t have to be the case at all. Whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert simply comes down to how you spend energy and how you recharge, according to psychologist Carl Jung who coined the terms in 1920. If you turn inside to your own mind to gain your energy back, you’re an introvert. And if you need social interaction to give you energy, you’re an extrovert. All of us can be perfectly fine alone or being social with others, but one of those things will be more exhausting for you. Extroverts tend to have much more representation, as they might demand a bit more attention, but actually one-third to one-half of all Americans are introverts. Let me hear you roar, introverts of the world!

A few of the most common misconceptions that introverts face is that they’re shy or unfriendly, that they cannot be leaders, and that it’s difficult to get to know them. But none of these things actually have anything to do with how introverts recharge their batteries. They can be just as kind and friendly as anyone else, they just might not have the energy to be “on” in front of people at all times. They might become quieter in a large social setting if they’re running out of energy, but if you speak to them one-on-one, they are likely to have a lovely conversation with you. And they can certainly have wonderful leadership qualities. They’re usually great listeners, great at analyzing situations, and they may be seen as less intimidating, which can help people trust them.

For a previous Bored Panda article featuring painfully relatable introvert memes, we reached out to Jenn Granneman, founder of Introvert, Dear, and she was kind enough to have a chat with us about why she started an online community for introverts. “I started Introvert, Dear in 2013 as my personal blog. I was dating an extroverted man, working an extroverted job (teaching), and living with an extroverted roommate. I wanted to write about what it was like being an introvert living in an extrovert’s world,” Jenn explained. “In true introvert form, I wrote the blog anonymously for almost two years because I had no desire to be in the spotlight. Today, my blog has become the world’s largest online community for introverts and highly sensitive people. With the help of ‘quiet ones’ around the world, I’m on a mission: to show introverts and highly sensitive people everywhere it’s okay to be who they are.”

We also previously asked Jenn what being an introvert means to her. “Being an introvert simply means I prefer to socialize a little differently than extroverts do,” she explained. “I love to have meaningful conversations with just one or two people at a time, rather than make small talk with a big group. I socialize infrequently and in short bursts, and I need plenty of downtime afterward to regain my energy.”

“There are times when I might attend a big party or a concert, but generally, I prefer to hang out at home or in intimate spaces,” Jenn previously told Bored Panda. “I can make small talk, but doing so takes a lot of effort, so I avoid it when I can. I cherish solitude. My favorite weekend ‘plans’ are no plans at all. I tend to keep thinking about certain issues, problems, or experiences long after other people have forgotten about them or moved on to another topic. I make my point using a handful of words rather than hundreds.”

“Introverts are still misunderstood, despite the positive attention that they’ve gotten in the media in recent years,” Jenn previously told Bored Panda. “When you’re a quiet person who doesn’t say much, it’s easy for people to misread you.” She also went on to dispel some common introvert misconceptions. “That our need for solitude is about us, not the people in our lives,” she explained. “Sometimes our friends and loved ones feel hurt or rejected when we spend time alone. They shouldn’t — introverts are simply wired to need that downtime to restore their energy. It’s not about you; it’s about us. If you have an introvert in your life, please don’t feel hurt if they occasionally decline your invitations or ask to spend the evening alone.”

Real Madrid ‘step up £44m hunt for Reece James transfer but fans joke the Chelsea man ‘failed the Vinicius test’ in loss

April 27, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

REAL MADRID have reportedly stepped up their chase of Reece James.

The Chelsea star could be available for just £44million this summer.

Real Madrid believe they can land Chelsea star Reece James for just £44m

Fans joked James has already failed the Vinicius Jr test[/caption]

But some fans jokingly fear James may not be up to the mark after “failing the Vinicius Jr test.”

James, 23, has become one of Chelsea’s most important players after working his way through the academy.

He has already won a Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup after 145 games.

And Chelsea rewarded James’ talent by doubling his wages on a new five-year deal in September.

However, the Blues face a fire-sale this summer after Todd Boehly’s £600million spending spree unbalanced the books.

Real Madrid are big fans of James as they eye a new right-back to replace Dani Carvajal.

And Marca claims Los Blancos are ready to step up their pursuit by making a £44m bid, with Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies also on their radar.

They believe it could be enough to secure James’ signature with Chelsea needing a quick cash injection.

Real got the chance to witness the defender first-hand in last night’s Champions League win over the Blues.

But James’ attacking threat was nullified by Carlo Ancelotti’s clever tactics.

And he also struggled to keep up with flying winger Vinicius Jr, who had a field day on the left wing.

Indeed, some supporters jokingly fear James may not be good enough for Real after his below-par performance.

One said: “Reece was being evaluated without knowing yesterday and it doesn’t look good.

“He failed the Vini test.”

Another declared: “He had a stinker this week.”

One added: “James is finished, should not be a target at all.”

Kevin de Bruyne can’t help but laugh after “devastating” verdict from Micah Richards – Mirror Online

April 27, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Kevin de Bruyne did not know how to react to Micah Richards ’ praise after helping Manchester City reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

De Bruyne set up Erling Haaland ’s goal as City drew 1-1 with Bayern Munich on Wednesday night to progress 4-1 on aggregate. In an incident-packed game, Haaland blazed a penalty over the crossbar before blasting into the top corner on the counter-attack to crush Bayern’s hopes.

Joshua Kimmich levelled on the night from the penalty spot after a second controversial call for handball, but it was not enough for the hosts, who were beaten 3-0 in the first leg. Thomas Tuchel was sent to the stands for protesting late on as City secured a semi-final against defending champions Real Madrid.

After the match De Bruyne was selected to give an interview to American broadcaster CBS Sports. That meant taking questions from Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Richards – and one of those pundits was overly excited to speak with the midfielder.

“Kevin, can you talk me through your form at the moment – it’s devastating!” Richards asked with a huge grin on his face.

Slightly embarrassed, he replied: “Errr, thank you.” After being instructed not to be shy by Richards, De Bruyne gave a modest answer about his recent performances.

HAVE YOUR SAY! Will Man City finally win the Champions League this season? Comment below.

“I don’t know,” he said. “The season is so long, obviously there are moments where it’s a little bit less. But I feel good, I’m very happy that the last few years I’ve had no injuries whatsoever, I’m available.

“I think that the team is on good form and I’m flowing with them. I’ve tried to create as many chances as possible and Erling is scoring sometimes – no, he scores all the time, obviously. I’m very happy with the form and with the team. We need to keep going, it’s a tough end to the season but it’s fun.”

Bayern made things tough for City, but failed to take their chances and were punished. Pep Guardiola’s side will play Real in the last four next month – the team who beat them 6-5 on aggregate at the same stage of the competition last season.

“We go again, we go again. We know Bayern is top and I think in both games there are moments you’re going to suffer,” De Bruyne added. “But as a team we defended really well, you can’t stop them for 90 minutes but in the difficult moments we were there as a team.

“At the right moments we had our chances, scoring for 1-0 changed it all and I’m very proud of this team, we did very well against a top class team. Very happy to go back to the semis. I don’t feel any different to last year.

“Last year we played really well and the last five minutes of the second game changed the outcome. Obviously everyone has a different opinion. This year we will try to minimise the mistakes and defensively we are very solid. I’ve got confidence in our team, Real is class also so we go again and hopefully the outcome will be ours this time.”

Shannon Sharpe Defends Angel Reese Amid Hand Gesture Reactions: ‘It’s Funny How America Sees Black & White’

April 26, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Shannon Sharpe has responded to the viral conversations about Angel Reese‘s sportsmanship, including Keith Olbermann’s ‘f**king idiot’ comment. Following her NCAA championship win, Reese gestured at opposing Iowa Hawkeyes player Caitlin Clark using the same motion Caitlin has used twice recently.

The gesture, John Cena’s famed “You Can’t See Me,” put Reese in the center of controversial backlash amid her 103-85 win. While the focus has been on a returned taunt, the athlete also won Most Outstanding Player in the women’s basketball Final Four.

What a fucking idiot https://t.co/C8dW0tukfP

— Keith Olbermann (@KeithOlbermann) April 2, 2023

Meanwhile, Sharpe, Shaq, and Stephen A. Smith–have stepped to Angel’s defense. Before addressing the trending talk, Shannon warned Skip Bayless on Undisputed that his comment was not personal. Instead, Sharpe said it was about the differences in portrayal.

“Forty-eight hours ago, when Caitlin Clark did the John Cena, it was considered swag. Forty-eight hours later, Angel Reese does the exact same gesture, it’s classless. Keith Olbermann went as far to say she was an idiot, not just an idiot but an f–ing idiot. For you to stoop so low, to call a college kid, a female…because she did a gesture when you didn’t say anything when Caitlin Clark did it… Skip, it’s funny how America, society sees Black  and White.”

Meanwhile, Shaq responded directly to Keith’s tweet, telling him, “shut your dumb a** up leave Angel Reese alone.”

Stephen also spoke up via Twitter. He said:

“When Caitlin Clark did it…people were celebrating it and talking about nothing but her greatness. BUT the SECOND a sister stepped up and threw it back in her face, everyone is mad. Come on!”

Angel Reese Reacted To The Backlash Following Her Championship Win

As The Shade Room last reported, Caitlin also gestured the same move at other players during the Elite Eight and Final Four. Several videos of her making the motion started circulating online as players came to Reese’s defense.

Reese also addressed the controversy following her win, saying she’s been critiqued all year for who she is. Adding, “I don’t fit the narrative” in a post-game interview.

“I don’t fit the box that y’all want me to be in. I’m too hood, I’m too ghetto, y’all told me that all year. When other people do it, and y’all don’t say nothing. So this was for the girls that look like me.”

She added that “Twitter is going to go into a rage every time,” seemingly unbothered by the backlash.

“I don’t fit in the box that y’all want me to be in. I’m too hood, I’m too ghetto, y’all told me that all year. When other people do it, y’all don’t say nothing. This was for the people that look like me.” – Angel Reese ❤👑

— WSLAM (@wslam) April 3, 2023

There seemed to be no issues among the women themselves that they vocalized. Reese called Caitlin a “hell of a player for sure,” blaming the gesture on being “in [her] bag…in [her] moment.”

Per ESPN, Caitlin said she didn’t notice any negativity from the LSU Tigers or Angel Reese.

“I was just trying to get to the handshake line and be grateful that my team was in that position,” Caitlin Clark said. “All the credit in the world to LSU. They were tremendous. They deserve it, they had a tremendous season.”

Caitlin also shared props for LSU’s coach Kim Mulkey, calling her “one of the best basketball coaches of all time.”
