Hilarious ‘SNL’ sketch nails what it’s like for moms to go out

January 7, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Months after “Saturday Night Live” perfectly poked fun at how many women love crime shows and murder mystery documentaries in a viral sketch, the show aired a hilarious new bit capturing what it’s like for moms to have a girls night out.

Last night’s episode, hosted by Kim Kardashian West, featured a music video that has women on Twitter feeling seen for how Kardashian West, Cecily Strong, Ego Nwodim and Punkie Johnson portray trying to enjoy the nightlife with the little energy they have left after being busy parents.

“Guys, I don’t know about this. I haven’t been out to a club in forever,” Strong says to her friends while waiting in line to enter a hot spot. “Come on, it’s going to be so much fun. We used to always do this,” Kardashian West assures her.

“Yeah, in our 20s,” Nwodim reminds her. “Well, all I do is take care of these kids, okay. I need this,” Johnson chimes in.

As the ladies enter the club, they dedicate the song to the “grown and sexy” ladies who dedicate so much of their time to caring for others and deserve a night for themselves.

“I left my man at home and my kids are with the nanny. Dress so tight, all the haters can’t stand me,” Nwodim raps while Kardashian West piggybacks with a flow saying she’s “in the VIP and the music is pumpin’” before showing the real-life reality star, mogul and mother of four fast asleep collapsed on a couch.

Each cast member goes on to rap about the fun they are having being out with their girlfriends, away from their responsibilities and wearing outfits they never get to wear. Soon, reality sets in.

Nwodin’s heels hurt her feet after a long night of dancing and she has to soak them on ice. Johnson’s ears can’t handle how loud the music is, making her ask “Who needs a song to be this damn loud?” Strong gets sick after realizing she can’t eat the junk foods she used to, making her reach for some Pepto-Bismol.

Women took to Twitter to laugh at how relatable the “SNL” sketch is.

“Not gonna lie,” one user wrote. “I’m like Kim Kardashian when I go clubbing.”

“Okay, SNL, that filmed piece about moms going clubbing really got me,” wrote another.

On YouTube, a commenter joked, “I don’t appreciate being called out like this.”

“As a 30 yr old mom to three, this hits diff. Esp after a pandemic, my body is like ‘nah, we don’t do that anymore.’” someone else added.

Spider-Man Fans Turn WandaVision’s Most Frustrating ‘Joke’ Into a No Way Home Trailer Clue

January 7, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

One of the early jokes introduced in WandaVision has now been turned into a clue by fans looking forward to the first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer.

A fan pointed out how the Aug. 23 date on Wanda Maximoff and Vision’s calendar in WandaVision could possibly signify the release date for the Spider-Man trailer. A screenshot of the WandaVision calendar shows a heart sketched in on Wednesday, Aug. 23, though viewers will remember that neither Wanda nor Vision could remember at the time why that date was significant in their relationship.

When Vision asked if there was any importance to the day, the couple is left to ponder many different possibilities. Vision points out that he is incapable of forgetting anything, while Wanda reveals how she’s been looking forward to the day — though without giving any details herself. Another theory relating to the 8.23 date ties back to Avengers #238, which was an issue featuring Vision and Monica Rambeau, who also made her reintroduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a grown-up portrayed by Teyonah Parris. Akira Akbar played a young Monica in 2019’s Captain Marvel.

However, things appeared to escalate when an alleged trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home was recently leaked online. Even though the footage that appeared on social media included unfinished special effects and unedited scenes, Sony and Marvel Studios moved quickly to have the video blocked, with many accounts displaying takedown notices in its place.

Whenever the trailer is finally released, it will more than likely feature co-star Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, possibly tying into the growing multiverse with the confirmed return of Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius, and the rumored returns of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, among others.

Gun control activist David Hogg announces new board member for his pillow company and Twitter howls with laughter

January 6, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Gun control activist David Hogg announced a new member of the advisory board for his pillow company meant to compete with Mike Lindell’s MyPillow empire, but his critics responded with mockery and laughter on social media.

Hogg, 20, announced Thursday that he would start a pillow company in order to give those on the left an alternative to the MyPillow offering by Lindell, who is a fervent supporter of former President Donald Trump and has funded legal efforts to overturn the election.

On Monday, he announced the first hire for his pillow company, LGBTQ activist Brandon Wolfe.

“I’m thrilled to announce the addition of Brandon Wolf ( @bjoewolf ) to the Pillow Company’s activist advisory board. Brandon has years of experience in organizing for gun violence prevention, LGBTQ rights and he’s also just an awesome person,” tweeted Hogg.

Wolf is also a survivor of the 2016 attack on the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

Critics of Hogg and his gun control activism took to Twitter to mock him for hiring another activist for a business meant to produce a profit.

“I honestly believe that if I gave my 10 year old a little seed money, he would be far more competent at making and selling pillows (or anything else) than Hogg and his band of merry men,” said Pradheep Shanker, NRO contributor.

“Will your pillow business involve, at any point, the sale and manufacture of actual pillows?” replied conservative commentator Matt Walsh.

“It’s like they really believe they can run a business based entirely on a virtue signal. Let’s see if that works out,” responded Karlyn Borysenko, a social media commentator.

“I may not be an industry expert with empirical working knowledge in sleeping products, but I am beginning to wonder about the intense lack of interest in Hogg hiring anyone who knows a damned thing about pillows,” said another user.

“This was already a Portlandia episode,” said another critic.

Hogg gained prominence when he publicly excoriated Republicans and blamed them for the heinous massacre in Parkland, Florida, in February 2018.

16 funny tweets about what life was like in high school.

Your memories of high school—you know, the parts you haven’t repressed—may seem weird in retrospect. Remember having to wake up at the crack of dawn to be at the mercy of teachers who control when you can and can’t go to the bathroom?

In high school, what you think is normal is strange, and what you think is strange is normal.
