Conor McGregor has sent a hilarious threat to anyone planning to buy a Lamborghini yacht and sail around the Mediterranean Sea this summer.
‘Notorious’ bought the ‘Supercar of the Sea’ worth $4 million [£2.9m] in July 2021 but was not able to get behind the wheel of it until May 2022 when he quickly made up for lost time.
The former dual-weight UFC champion took to a life at sea with his family as they spent the summer travelling around Europe and rubbing shoulders with celebrities including Kylie Minogue, and Jared Leto.
It appears he plans to do the same thing this year, but is hearing that others may be trying to copy him by purchasing a Lamborghini yacht and hanging out in the same spot.
McGregor isn’t having it and wants everyone to know that there’ll be consequences for this.
“I see a few are after buying my Lamborghini yacht around the med,” he wrote alongside a picture of him on the multi-million-pound boat in a since-deleted tweet.
“I’m putting this out there now for this season that if I see any other ones in my vicinity I am going to board it like a pirate and add it to me fleet.
“I’ll gather them all up handy. I’m the only one allowed on the med in the Lambo yacht. None other are allowed until I move it out of the med. I don’t make the rules I just enforce them. McGregor Lambo 12.”
McGregor is booked to make his highly anticipated MMA comeback this year.
The 34-year-old hasn’t fought since fracturing his tibia and fibula during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, but he is now fully fit and set to face Michael Chandler.
However, their fight is currently without an official date, weight, or venue and it appears McGregor’s return to the UFC could be delayed by an ongoing dispute with drug testing agency USADA.
As of late, McGregor hasn’t looked like a man who has a fight coming up.
The Irishman was spotted drinking whiskey while watching Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia last month before literally chugging Proper Twelve during a trip to Denver for a bare-knuckle boxing event.
Now, he’s planning to spend the summer on his yacht rather than in camp, suggesting he will not be competing until the final months, if at all, in 2023.
