Radio and Television Personality, Berla Mundi has dodged a well planned April Fool’s day bullet.
Will Smith Roasted for His Violent Slap: Comedian Confirms Jada’s ‘Boyfriend’ Is the Real Joke Here
British comedian Ricky Gervais said he would have roasted Will Smith had he hosted the Academy Awards, except he wouldn’t have made a mild joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s baldness. Instead, he would’ve gone for the jugular by mocking the fact that she had a boyfriend.
Gervais made the crack at a stand-up comedy show in London, the U.K.’s Mirror reported on Wednesday.
“People were going ‘What would have happened if Ricky Gervais had been doing it?’” — hosting the Oscars — he said during his routine.
“Well, nothing, as I would not have made a joke about his wife’s hair. I would have made a joke about her boyfriend.”
The irreverent entertainer was referring to longstanding reports that Will and Jada have an open marriage and date other people.
This speculation heated up in the summer of 2020 when Jada confirmed that she had dated rapper August Alsina. In 2017, the pair were seen together at the BET Awards.
Some may wonder who August is. August Alsina is a singer, who Jada had an affair with who just so happened to be her son’s friend and who Will Smith had given his blessings for the affair to carry on. Jada admitted to the affair and called it an entanglement. pic.twitter.com/MTK6FfuicI

Smith’s emotional reaction as he listened to his wife talk about her “entanglement” with Alsina on their “Red Table Talk” Facebook show made an unforgettable impression on social media.

The actor later claimed he wasn’t crying, saying, “I think because I drink so much coffee, I get dehydrated and it makes my eyes water.”
Gervais wasn’t finished joking about the Oscars blowup. He said he might rename his “Armageddon” comedy tour to commemorate Smith’s meltdown, also known as the “slap heard around the world.”
“This new material is going to be for my new show called ‘Armageddon.’ I might change that to ‘Alopecia,’” he said, according to the Mirror.
Gervais’ comedy routine referenced the volcanic uproar that’s still erupting after Smith slapped presenter Chris Rock on stage at the Academy Awards on Sunday.
Shortly before Smith’s assault, Rock had made a tepid joke about Jada’s baldness, which she says was caused by alopecia.
“Jada, I love ya. ‘G.I. Jane 2,’ can’t wait to see ya,” he said in a reference to the 1997 film in which actress Demi Moore appeared with a shaved head.
After slapping Rock and sitting back down, Smith unleashed a profanity-laced rant where he warned Rock to stop talking about his wife.
The obscene threat was edited out of the live Oscars broadcast but went viral across social media.
“Keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth!” Smith angrily shouted.
Rock replied, “Wow, dude, it was a ‘G.I. Jane’ joke.”
A furious Smith reiterated, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth!”
Jimmy Fallon & Jimmy Kimmel Swap Late Night Shows in April Fools’ Day Prank
Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel pulled an epic prank for April Fools’ Day.
For Friday’s episode of their late-night talk shows, the two Jimmy’s swapped places, with Fallon hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in Los Angeles and Kimmel taking over hosting duties at “The Tonight Show” in New York City.
And the best part? Fans in the studio audiences appeared not to have told about the “Freaky Friday” moment beforehand, making for a hilarious — and shocking — surprise.
Kimmel, 54, opened his “The Tonight Show” monologue by introducing himself as Fallon. After saying it was “Freaky Friday tonight,” he started to make some jokes about current events, before he then addressed his and Fallon’s epic switcheroo.
“Are you figuring out what’s happening now?” Kimmel asked. “You’re noticing what day it is, and or no, maybe? I don’t know. April Fools’ everybody!”
“Show of hands. How many of you are disappointed? Be honest. Okay. How many are very disappointed? Be honest,” he continued. “And how are any of you were thinking, ‘Oh my God, Jimmy Fallon looks terrible. I hope he isn’t sick!”
“We pulled the old switcheroo,” he added. “In fact, right now, Jimmy F-word, as we call him back home, is hosting my show in L.A.”
“We swapped everything. We swapped shows, bands, even wives. Bad news, Nancy — fat Jimmy’s coming home,” Kimmel quipped, adding, “This is something we’ve been planning for years. It was a top secret operation.”
As for Fallon, 47, he came out on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” stage, and said, “Hi, I’m Jimmy. Please settle down. You’re going to offend the other Jimmy. Happy April Fools’ Day, everybody!”
“I swapped places with Jimmy Kimmel. Although as far as things you’ve seen on ABC this week, this one’s a distant second,” he joked, referring to the Oscars “Slapgate.”
“I feel like someone opened the late-night multiverse!”
In their monologues, both two Jimmys spoke about their experiences trading places. They went on to “check in” with another via satellite, and revealed that the April Fools’ Day prank was two years in the making.
“We’ve been talking about this for a long time,” Kimmel said, to which Fallon replied, “Right. April 2020.”
“This is wild, bud,” Fallon later said. “It’s been an amazing experience. I love that we did this. I can’t believe we pulled it off. I really can’t believe it!”
It appears that Fallon and Kimmel filmed some fun segments in Los Angeles ahead of their switcheroo. The duo shot a hilarious video, in which they addressed how people often confuse them for one another, and shared what fans say to them when they believe they are talking to the other Jimmy. Check it out in the video, above!
They also pranked some “Jimmy Kimmel Live” fans, who were told they would be meeting Kimmel and taking photos with him. However, the two shocked and surprised each fan by having Fallon randomly appear by popping up in selfies, sitting in Kimmel’s chair and more. And one fan from Milan, Italy didn’t even get the joke until he was told — it was absolutely hilarious. See it go down in the clip, below.
Kimmel and Fallon also pulled a prank on Kimmel’s Aunt Chippy, who came out on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” thinking she would be interviewed by her nephew, only to find Fallon behind the desk.
Meanwhile, the two Jimmys hosted the late shows as the other would, with both Fallon and Kimmel conducting interviews and participating in games and segments from each other’s shows.
Fallon interviewed Justin Timberlake, who at first pretended to be Matt Damon, poking fun at Kimme’s long-running faux feud with the Oscar winner. Timberlake later took off his Boston gear and appeared as himself, and the singer and Fallon played a game of “Hot Sax” before they went on to chat.
The iconic duo also put a spin on “Jimmy Kimmel Live’s” infamous segment, “Mean Tweets.” But instead of reading mean tweets about themselves, the two read “sweet tweets.”
As for Kimmel, he took on Fallon’s “Thank You Notes” segment, and also interviewed Bridget Everett and Hugh Jackman. Kimmel also played a round of “The Tonight Show” game, “Box of Lies,” and faced off against Jackman.
Both of their musical guests were The Red Hot Chili Peppers. It’s unclear how they pulled it off, but the band performed at both the “The Tonight Show” studio, and on the rooftop of The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel in Los Angeles.
One thing’s for sure: Fallon and Kimmel may have pulled off one of the greatest April Fools’ Day pranks in recent years.
Tony Rocks slams Will Smith for slapping Chris at the Oscars over joke about Jada’s hair loss | Daily Mail Online
Chris Rock‘s brother shaded Jada Pinkett-Smith at his recent comedy show and joked about fans walking up on stage, saying: ‘This ain’t the motherf**king Oscars!’
Tony Rock, 47, performed at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday, opening his show with a joke about his fellow comedian and brother Chris, 57, who was famously slapped by actor Will Smith at the Oscars on Sunday after making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss.
‘If you think you gonna walk up on this stage, this ain’t the motherf**king Oscars!’ Tony said in footage taken by Instagram user ‘juice_man_g’ and later shared by The Shade Room.
‘And if you walk your ass up here, you ain’t nominated for s**t but these motherf**king hands! Oh, we going to pop the rest of the year, n****. Every time you see me do a show, pop!’
Tony claimed he ‘didn’t want to start the show like that,’ but questioned Smith’s motives.
‘You gonna hit my motherf**king brother because your b**** gave you a side-eye?’ he asked before joking about the number of ‘Rock brothers.’ Chris and Tony are among seven siblings; they have four other brothers and one sister: Andre, Brian, Kenny, 42, and Jordan, 31, as well as their sister Andi, 36.
Smith sent shockwaves around the world when he slapped Chris after the comedian joked about Jada’s bald head. The actor appeared to have laughed at the joke prior to looking over at his wife, who seemed unamused. Pinkett Smith has spoken out about losing her hair due to alopecia.
Just 40 minutes later, Smith won the Best Actor Award for his portrayal of Richard Williams – father of tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams – in the biopic King Richard.

Smith issued a public apology to Chris on Monday evening, saying that his behavior was ‘unacceptable and inexcusable.’
The star wrote in an Instagram post that he was ’embarrassed’ by his actions, which shocked the ceremony attendees, producers and viewers, and sparked a furious debate that divided both A-listers and spectators alike.
‘Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive,’ he wrote.
‘My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.
‘I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.’
Smith went on to say he was sorry to the organizers and the producers of the show and has since resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
The actor also acknowledged that slapping Chris during the ceremony caused other award winners to be overshadowed.
‘I want to put the focus back on those who deserve attention for their achievements and allow the Academy to get back to the incredible work it does to support creativity and artistry in film,’ Smith, 53, said.
He also shared how ‘change takes time’ and he is now ‘committed to doing the work to ensure that I never again allow violence to overtake reason.’
The Academy said it has accepted Smith’s ‘immediate resignation’ and will ‘continue to move forward’ with its disciplinary proceedings against him for violations of the group’s standards of conduct. Smith’s resignation came two days after the organization met to initiate the disciplinary hearings.
Smith’s shocking move to resign on Friday comes just one day after sources close to the actor confirmed to The Sun that he and his lawyers had planned to write to the Academy to plead his case ahead of his upcoming hearing on April 18.
Sources familiar with the situation also claim the fate of his upcoming projects, including the Apple-funded slave escape drama Emancipation, remains in question.
Chris was famously smacked by actor Will Smith at the Oscars on Sunday after the funnyman made a hair joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett-Smith
Chris has not responded to Smith’s apology and the comedian has yet to publicly comment on the incident – but it was revealed in the hours after the slap that he had chosen not to file a police report against the actor.
Tony, who has spoken publicly about the incident several times on Twitter, said he didn’t ‘approve’ of Smith’s apology. When a fan asked during a Q&A session on Twitter, the comedian simply replied: ‘No.’
The assault was a hot topic on the thread, and Tony wasn’t shy about sharing his opinions.
One fan asked the star ‘Who you think hits harder Will or Jada boyfriend?’
Tony replied: ‘Mama Rock.’
The funnyman, who did not attend the award show, didn’t comment on whether or not Smith’s award should be revoked, simply replying: ‘Not my call.’
Although the comedian is readily available to defend his brother, who has deflected talking about the situation, Tony also threw some brotherly digs at his sibling.
When a fan inquired asked how Chris was doing, Tony jokingly said his brother was ‘still rich’ and shared a picture of him with the caption ‘Chris Rock Ego Death World Tour 2022.’
Tony came to Chris’ defense, as his brother has remained mum on the subject, but still threw some sibling love his way. When asked if how his brother was doing after the assault, Tony replied that Chris was ‘still rich’
Tony also claimed Diddy was lying when he alleged that Smith had buried the hatchet with Chris after that shocking Oscars slap.
Hours after the controversy, Diddy told Page Six the feud was ‘over,’ but Tony insisted that wasn’t the case.
Speaking with Page Six at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, Diddy said of the incident: ‘That’s not a problem. That’s over. I can confirm that.’
‘It’s all love. They’re brothers,’ the rapper said.
Chris, who held comedy shows in Boston on Wednesday and Thursday, has refused to go into any detail about the ‘Slap Heard Round the World.’
After being met with ‘Will Smith’ chants from the audience, the comedian did briefly address the slap during the show, noting that he still needs time to ‘process’ the assault.
He also told the crowd: ‘I haven’t talked to anyone, despite what you heard,’ referencing rumors that Chris and Smith had made amends.
But come Thursday night, Chris had to stop his fans from cursing out Smith.
‘F**k Will Smith!’ a fan shouted, likely in an attempt to show support for Chris.
‘No, no, no, no, no…’ the comedian replied, according to People, putting an end to the verbal attacks.
The comic took to the stage at the Wilbur Theatre on Wednesday and had asked: ‘How was your weekend?’
The rhetorical question got a big laugh from the crowd, which occasionally heckled the Emmy-winning comedian about Smith’s on-screen strike. But Chris warned those at the sold-out venue that the show would go on as planned.
‘I don’t have like a bunch of s*** to say about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I had like a whole show I wrote before… this weekend…’ he said to more laughs. ‘And I’m still kind of processing what happened.
‘So at some time I’ll talk about that s***..and it’ll be serious. It’ll be funny,’ he said before an audience member shouted, ‘F*** Will!’
‘I’m gonna tell some jokes,’ Chris concluded, later revealing that he hasn’t spoken to ‘anyone’ since the incident, alluding to reports that he and Smith have reconciled.
Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel surprise fans with ‘wild’ April Fool’s Day prank
Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel gave fans a hoot when they swapped places on each other’s late-night talk shows for a sweet “Freaky Friday” April Fool’s joke.
Fans didn’t know what was going on when Kimmel started off the NBC program in New York by saying, “Hi, I’m Jimmy Fallon and welcome to ‘The Tonight Show.'”
They soon got a clue when he reminded them that it was April Fool’s Day.
“Are you figuring out what’s happening now?” Kimmel asked. “You’re noticing what day it is, and or no, maybe? I don’t know. April Fool’s, everybody!”
The crowd seemed to love it and gave Kimmel a round of applause.
Meanwhile, Fallon held down the fort at the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” studio in Los Angeles. When he walked on stage, he was greeted with applause and a standing ovation.
“Hi, I’m Jimmy,” he said. “Please settle down, you’re going to offend the other Jimmy. Happy April Fool’s Day, everybody!”
The two then explained what was going on.
“We pulled the old switcheroo,” Kimmel said. “In fact, right now, Jimmy F-word, as we call him back home, is hosting my show in L.A. We swapped everything. We swapped shows, bands, even wives. Bad news, Nancy — fat Jimmy’s coming home.”
Kimmel said that before the show began, he enjoyed a tour of Rockefeller Center and met some of the behind-the-scenes stars of Fallon’s show.
“Everybody here has been so nice,” he said. “I got to meet Jimmy’s writers. I got to meet his producers. His security guy took me on a tour. I even got to meet the chef who cuts his chicken nuggets into dinosaur shapes. Wonderful guy.”
In California, Fallon joked that it was nice to have a change of pace on ABC.
“Fridays on NBC, I’m on after ‘Dateline,’ which is a show about people murdering their spouses so it’s a nice change to be on after ‘2020,’ a different show about people murdering their spouses,” he quipped.
After a few more jokes, the Jimmys took a moment to get serious and bask in the success of their prank.
“It’s exciting to be here. I have always dreamed of hosting a late-night talk show and now that dream has finally come true,” Kimmel continued.
The comedian noted that he and Fallon have been planning on switching places with each other for “years,” since April 2020.
“It was a top-secret operation,” Kimmel shared.
And finally, they were able to put it into motion.
“This is wild, but it’s an amazing experience,” Fallon added.
