Reporter Bombs Psaki Over Joe Biden Laughing Off Americans Trapped in Kabul: ‘What’s So Funny?’

June 3, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Allow me to give Jen Psaki a modicum of credit. She saw her boss Joe Biden, our president, the commander in chief and the most popular president ever, laugh off a reporter who asked about Americans trapped in Afghanistan. Knowing what was coming, she decided to call on Peter Doocy anyway. Whether or not she downed a few White Claws before having to deal with the press again, I can neither confirm nor deny.

Fox Reporter STUNS Psaki Into INSANE Admission About Negotiating With Terrorists

Had Donald Trump done the same thing, Psaki would have gone on CNN — which she worked for at the time — and called for the president to be impeached. Instead, her job is to clean up Biden’s messes. There is a silver lining, though. At least her job is to clean up the mess he makes in front of the press and not the one he makes in his underpants.

Psaki didn’t even have the strength to fight with Doocy. Or attack him or Fox News. She had no bones to throw to her Psaki stans to make them go “YASSSS, GURL, SLAY KWEEEEEEEN!” Peter Doocy already bested her in round one and round two. This is her gassing in round three. She had to pretend the commander in chief of the United States of America did not just laugh off a question about Americans trapped in Afghanistan. Though in her attempt to answer the question without answering the question, she accidentally let it slip that we are negotiating with the Taliban.

Yes. We’ve gotten to the point where we are communicating with the people who threatened us if we don’t meet their deadline. Methinks we’ll be circling back to that at some point today.

‘Her smile lit up a room’: Birmingham woman shot to death day after her birthday – al.com

June 2, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

LaTeshia Danner turned 33 on Friday, and her father had left her a teddy bear and some balloons.

Later Friday night, she stopped by his house to thank him for her gift. Willie Jones was asleep, but Danner woke him up to make sure he knew how much she appreciated the gesture.

“She gave me a hug and kiss,’’ Jones said.

He had no way of knowing that would be the last time he would see her. Danner, less than 24 hours later, would be shot and killed in the parking lot of her east Birmingham apartment complex.

“No parent should have to bury their child,’’ a grieving Jones said Sunday. “She should have been burying me. But the Lord has a purpose for her.”

Danner died at UAB Hospital, not long after she was shot multiple times. Birmingham police Sgt. Rod Mauldin said officers responded about 8:19 p.m. Saturday to the 7500 block of Second Avenue North. Danner was pronounced dead at 9:46 p.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

Police have not announced any arrests in the case. Friends, family and police said the slaying was domestic in nature.

Danner grew up in Fairfield and graduated from high school there. She was employed at Kamtek where she worked on the auto parts assembly line and it was there she became friends with coworker Porsche Davis.

“We were going on our third year together,’’ Davis said Sunday. “She was honestly a good person. When I say she was so full off life and personality, she was just a fun person to be around. She had this distinct voice that nobody else had.”

She said she was stunned when she learned her friend had been killed. “I really hate this happened to her. It was shock to me,’’ she said. “She was always the type to give people the benefit of the doubt. She didn’t see bad in nobody.”

“Her smile lit up a room,’’ Davis said.

Though Danner didn’t have children of her own, friends and family say she doted on her niece and nephew. She was close to her entire family. “She was a family person,’’ her father, Jones, said.

“She loved everybody. She had a beautiful smile with perfect white teeth,’’ he said.

Jones said his daughter had told him she wanted to move to Hoover. “She said people in Birmingham were getting killed and she didn’t want to die,’’ he said. “I’ve been saving up to buy her house. That was the one thing I wanted to do for her before I died.”

Jones said he only recently moved back to Birmingham a couple of months ago after being gone for the past five years. “I thank God for these past two months with her,’’ he said.

He said it was Danner that helped him turn away from drugs 10 years ago. “She was younger, and she yelled at me good one time,’’ he said. He said he’s been clean ever since.

“She stayed on me about staying out of trouble,’’ he said. “She thought she was my mama.”

He said he is devastated by her death, and now focused on giving her a proper burial. “A parent has to be a parent until the bitter end,’’ he said.

Danner is Birmingham’s 15th homicide of 2021. In all of Jefferson County, there have been 22 homicides including the 15 in Birmingham. Anyone with information is asked to call Birmingham homicide detectives at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.

Watch: World Leaders Laugh as Biden’s Forgetfulness Embarrasses US on International Stage

June 2, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

President Joe Biden has taken his gaffes over to Merrie England for a spell.

I’m fantastic with that, normally. Take him off our hands for a little while. The problem is that it was Biden’s first visit as president to one of our closest allies. It was also the occasion of the G-7 summit, the meeting of the world’s most industrialized countries, and he’d be meeting members of the British royal family, as well.

In other words, the stakes were pretty high. I’d have had preferred him to dip a toe into the waters first. Maybe he could have, say, visited with English Premier League champions Manchester City and asked who played quarterback.

But alas, these are the cards we’ve been dealt as the American people, so we get to sit back and watch as Biden gaffes his way through a country where the media isn’t necessarily so predisposed to cover for him.

Take Sunday, as U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson was introducing non-Group of Seven leaders who had just joined the proceedings in Cornwall, including South Korean President Moon Jae-in and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

After Johnson finished introducing Moon, Biden broke in: “And the president of South Africa!”

Johnson — who appeared genuinely flustered as opposed to the mock-fluster he’ll often affect — responded, “And, and, and, and the president of South Africa, as, as, as, as I said, early on.”

Biden, meanwhile, pumped his fists as Johnson stumbled through this. Then, as Johnson got to the end, Biden said: “Oh, he did, that’s right.”

“I certainly did,” Johnson said, still stammering.

“You get a mention twice, Cyril,” someone off-camera said. Everyone laughed at Biden. Biden laughed, too, not realizing the old playground dictum: They’re laughing at you, not with you.

Boris Johnson insists to Joe Biden that he already introduced the president of South Africa to a G7 meeting.

Hilarious. Clearly a man on top of his game.

According to News24, a South African outlet, Biden promised to divert some of the 500 million Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines being distributed worldwide by his administration to South Africa. Ramaphosa had better hope he remembers it.

Meanwhile, consider this: Johnson is lambasted by the press in the U.K. for being gaffe-prone. In fact, Johnson has created a persona around this — a lovable, bumbling sort, something Biden has yet to master. Whatever the case, consider the ugly realizations the Brits must have come to about our new president when Johnson had to correct him on this gaffe.

Furthermore, I was a bit taken aback by the fact this was the Biden gaffe of the day for Sunday. In the office pool, I had him breaking royal protocol during tea at Windsor Castle with Queen Elizabeth II. Yet, as The New York Times reported, “there were no obvious diplomatic breaches” during the visit with the queen.

That was the subheadine, which tells you a little bit about the expectations for Biden. In fact, the only breach of royal protocol by a U.S. head of state The Times’ article mentioned was when then-President Donald Trump walked in front of the queen in 2018.

It didn’t mention that Biden had apparently broken protocol himself just days earlier when his entourage arrived five minutes after the queen did on Friday. Royal etiquette dictates all parties arrive before the monarch.

Is Joe Biden experiencing cognitive decline?

And then to begin the trip, Biden gave a speech on Wednesday in which he called the U.K.-U.S. military alliance the “strongest military and political alliance in the history of the world.”

Unfortunately, he also called Britain’s Royal Air Force the “RFA” during a speech at an RAF airbase that was intended to salute to the countries’ shared history.

“These partnerships have hardened, and have been hardened, in the fire of war. Generations of Americans and service members fought them. Like the original Bloody Hundredth and those RFA pilots,” Biden said during the speech at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk, according to U.K. Daily Mail.

Yes, he was so up on the “strongest military and political alliance in the history of the world” that he didn’t know the initials of the Royal Air Force.

Again, most of this stuff didn’t get much coverage over here — certainly not the kind of coverage that Donald Trump’s solecisms overseas got.

First impressions matter, though. If the British people had gotten a sampling of some of Biden’s gaffery from afar, this week has taught them just how often the gaucheries fall out of his mouth. Now they know how bad it is: Even Boris Johnson is correcting him.

Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock at Oscars 2022 After Joke Gone Wrong | Vanity Fair

June 2, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

An Academy librarian confirmed to V.F.’s Joy Press that this was likely the first time there had been real violence onstage at the ceremony. However, this was not the first time Rock had made a joke about Pinkett Smith at the Oscars. During the 2016 ceremony, which Rock hosted, he poked fun at Pinkett Smith for boycotting that year’s ceremony. “Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties,” Rock said at the time. “I wasn’t invited.”

This was, however, not the first time Rock and Smith have crossed paths this Oscar season. At the National Board of Review gala in mid-March, Rock was on hand to present Paul Thomas Anderson with an award. However, he took a moment to praise Smith, another winner that night, for his performance in King Richard. “Goddammit, Will,” Rock said, raving about the actor’s performance.

Backstage at the Oscars after the incident, Rock played down his violent encounter with Smith. Per V.F.’s Anthony Breznican, one witness said Rock referenced Smith’s portrayal of Muhammad Ali in the Oscar-nominated biopic about the late boxer. “That’s the only time you get hit by Muhammad Ali and it doesn’t leave a scratch,’” Rock purportedly said.

Smith was in attendance at this year’s Oscars to collect the best-actor prize for his performance in King Richard. The actor had been the perceived front-runner for months and won, as expected, on Sunday night. In his tear-filled speech, Smith compared himself to Richard Williams, a man who is also known as “a fierce defender of his family.”

“I know to do what we do, you’ve got to be able to take abuse,” he said. “You’ve got to be able to have people disrespecting you, and you’ve got to smile and you’ve got to pretend like that’s okay.… I look like the crazy father, just like they said.… Love will make you do crazy things.”

He concluded his speech by apologizing to the Academy and to his fellow nominees. “I hope the Academy invites me back,” Smith added.

After a commercial break, cohost Amy Schumer made a quick quip about Rock and Smith. “I’ve been getting out of that Spider-Man costume. Did I miss anything?” she asked as the audience—Smith included—laughed. “There’s, like, a different vibe in here. Probably not. Well, anyway—okay.”
