When radical left-wing Netflix employees want to shut down the free speech of comedian Dave Chappelle over ”
transphobic comments” in his latest comedy special, what do you suppose those same leftist Netflix employees might do to a regular guy who shows up at their lions’ den — er, staged walkout — to defend Chappelle?

You guessed it: The militants tried to intimidate the guy and shut down his free speech, too.

And they failed.

What happened?

As most folks know by now, certain Netflix workers are furious at their employer for streaming Chappelle’s new special, ”
The Closer,” in which the comedian declares, “Gender is a fact.” In the last couple of weeks, a prominent Netflix showrunner quit in protest; the company suspended three employees — including a queer trans worker — for crashing an executive meeting focused on Chappelle; and Netflix fired the organizer of a planned walkout for leaking confidential data related to Chappelle’s special.

Well, that walkout happened Wednesday in Los Angeles — but a lone outlier managed to steal every decibel of the protesters’ thunder.

Carrying a “We Like Dave” sign and singing, “Dave’s life matters!” the brave soul immediately attracted the attention of protesters, one of whom grabbed his sign and proceeded to crush it beneath his feet.

“Why is he breaking my sign?” he asked, mockingly. “Don’t I have free-speech rights?”

As he was left with only a bare pole, the protesters began declaring that the Chappelle supporter was armed and dangerous.

“He’s got a weapon!” the man who destroyed his sign yelled, after which comrades dutifully repeated the claim. The smiling victim played along, too.

Then the Chappelle supporter turned around and faced down the hungry mob — a shorter member of which stood inches from him with arms stretched wide for some reason.

Then he dropped his “weapon” and began hilariously exercising his freedom of speech upon them.

“I’m just here to say that jokes are funny, people!” the Chappelle supporter hollered at the mob. “Dave Chappelle is a funny guy! I love Dave! I don’t know why all the violence! I don’t know why all the hate! I just love Dave Chappelle! Dave Chappelle! Wooo!”

Funnier still, as the Chappelle backer raised his volume, another tiny protester offered a profane John the Baptist send-up, banging a tambourine and repeatedly bellowing in the guy’s face, “Repent, motherf***er!”

But in the end, all the Chappelle supporter cared about was his missing equipment.

“They took my stick! My stick!” he yelled mockingly at the mob. “My sign! I need my poster board! It was $2.99! It was my money!”

Selena Gomez never really went through an awkward stage (she has always been fabulous), but she did recently take the opportunity to poke fun at one of her red carpet interviews from back in 2007.

On Thursday night, the singer posted a TikTok with audio from the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party 14 years ago. Selena arrived to the event in black shorts, black patterned tights, an iconic graphic tee featuring the earth that says “hotter than I should be,” and a big, black statement belt. She wore her hair pulled back with some added blue streaks in it.

In Selena’s TikTok, she uses audio from the event where she’s talking about her hair choices. “I’ve got some blue going on,” Selena lip synchs while playing with a colorful wig. The interviewer then asks where her inspiration for the hair came from. “I don’t know,” baby Sel said. “I like a little edge and a little pop in my hair so I wanted to add something different especially for the Teen Vogue party.”

“To my younger self: you’re not cool bro,” Selena captioned the video. This isn’t the first time Selena has embraced her former antics. Back in May Sel posted a hilarious throwback video of her singing “Don’t Go Knockin’ on My Door” by Britney Spears. “The hustle was real,” she captioned the post.

Honestly, I am all for these baby Sel throwbacks. Keep ’em coming!

Germany, which has refused to provide weapons to Ukraine in the face of a possible Russian invasion, offered on Wednesday to send 5,000 helmets instead, a move slammed as an “absolute joke” by the mayor of Kyiv.

German Justice Minister Christine Lambrecht said the planned delivery would send a “very clear signal” that Germany stands by Ukraine amid rising tensions with Russia.

But Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the helmet offer had left him “speechless”.

He accused Germany of failing to understand “that we are dealing with a highly equipped Russian army that could start further invading Ukraine at any moment”.

“Five thousand helmets are an absolute joke,” he told the Bild daily. “What will Germany send next? Pillows?”

The move was also slammed in Germany, with a meme circulating on social media using an image from a 2019 campaign encouraging young people to wear cycling helmets, with the slogan: “Looks like s**t. But saves my life.”

With tens of thousands of Russian troops gathered on the Ukrainian border, fears are mounting that a major conflict could break out in Europe.

Ukraine’s calls to Western allies to bolster its defence capabilities have seen the United States, the United Kingdom and Baltic states agree to send to Kyiv weapons, including anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles.

But Germany has refused to supply Ukraine with weapons, claiming this would further inflame the conflict.

Defence Minister Lambrecht said earlier this week that Germany would deliver a field hospital to Ukraine, and that Berlin has already provided respirators.

But Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has condemned Germany for its refusal to supply armaments to Kyiv, urging Berlin to stop “undermining unity” and “encouraging Vladimir Putin”.
