Erling Haaland reveals hilarious message he received from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Man City move | Daily Mail Online
‘Good luck on going to the wrong side of Manchester’: New City star Erling Haaland reveals hilarious message he received from ex-United boss and countryman Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as he hails ‘huge impact’ he had on his career
Erling Haaland has revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sent him a good luck message following his transfer to Manchester City.
The 21-year-old moved to the Etihad Stadium last month after the Premier League champions met his £51million release clause at Borussia Dortmund.
It is the latest chapter in a meteoric rise for Haaland, who made his professional debut for hometown club Bryne in the Norwegian second tier at the age of 15.

Nine months later, the striker moved to top-flight side Molde – managed at the time by Solskjaer.
Solskjaer is of course a Manchester United legend – despite the way his managerial reign at Old Trafford ended – so he couldn’t resist a cheeky dig when Haaland made the switch to City.
‘When I signed with City he congratulated me and wrote to me “Good luck on going to the wrong side of Manchester”, Haaland told the Manchester Evening News.
‘We talk sometimes. As you know, he had a huge impact on my career when I was at Molde. He’s a good guy.’
Haaland moved from Molde to Red Bull Salzburg in 2019 and around the same time it was reported that Solskjaer’s United were keen on signing him.

The 6ft 5in frontman ended up moving on to Borussia Dortmund, where he established himself as one of the hottest players in Europe. He insists that he has no regrets about any of his career choices.
‘Three years ago City didn’t want me because they had [Sergio] Aguero up front so then there was no choice about coming to Man City,’ Haaland said.
‘Basically, my feeling was I felt more going to the other place than coming here to England. I could have come here a lot of times in my career but I felt the other place and I think it was a really good choice.
‘I have made perfect choices ever since I went to Molde, then Salzburg and Dortmund. I’m not complaining about that.’

‘Daily Show’ Mocks Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ‘Hilarious’ Jan. 6 CPAC Performance Art
On Monday night’s Daily Show, Trevor Noah used a good portion of his opening monologue to focus on this past weekend’s “special tribute” to the imprisoned Jan. 6 rioters at CPAC in Texas that he jokingly described as “very moving and not at all hilarious.”
The host was talking about a bizarre performance art piece in which an actor in an orange jumpsuit sat in a fake prison cell and openly wept to bring the plight of the insurrectionists to life for the conservative conference attendees. Among them was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) who entered the cage to pray with him.
“OK, wait, wait, wait,” Noah said. “Help me understand the logic here. Marjorie Taylor Greene is praying for a fake prisoner? Who is this lady?” Emphasizing that “this is a person who is actually part of running your country,” he added, “She must have the hardest time at Broadway shows. ‘They killed Hamilton!’”
In Greene’s “defense,” the host said the actor must have really “committed” to the role, shedding real tears for hour upon hour. “Which, in a way, is a powerful performance art,” he said. “Because isn’t that what conservatism has turned into in America? It’s just people in MAGA hats acting like they’re victims?” Noah mock-cried as he said, “There’s fewer white people now than there used to be…but we still have all the power…”
And as if this story couldn’t get any “crazier,” Noah then revealed that the actor playing the prisoner was an actual Jan. 6 rioter who pleaded guilty and avoided incarceration by “snitching on the other rioters.”
“So, yeah, just so you understand, this dude is pretending to be a prisoner that he helped send to prison!” he added. “This is wild!”

The hilarious moment a young child is left totally starstruck by Bayern Munich’s Sadio Mane | Daily Mail Online
The hilarious moment a young child is left totally starstruck by Bayern Munich’s new signing Sadio Mane… and he’s the opposition’s mascot!
Sadio Mane announced himself in the Bundesliga as he scored on his league debut during Bayern Munich‘s comfortable 6-1 victory over Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt.
Mane, however, was even more eye-catching for one fan before a ball was even kicked as his presence left a young Frankfurt mascot starstruck when players shook hands with each other before kick off.
The Senegalese international saw his global stock rise during his time at former club Liverpool as he won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup during a six-year Anfield stint.

He also scored the winning penalty that helped Senegal clinch the Africa Cup of Nations over Egypt, along with helping them qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.
Bundesliga fans were therefore justifiably excited to see one of the world’s best talents take to the pitch for the first time in Germany, with one mascot hilariously struggling to contain his excitement as Mane passed him.
A viral video showed Mane and his Bayern Munich team-mates going through the pre-match greeting rituals with officials and opposition players.

But as the 30-year-old made his way further down the line, excitement continued to grow for the mascot before eventually boiling over.
As other mascots started to leave the pitch, the young Frankfurt fan was left stood with his arms crossed, gawping up open-mouthed and wide-eyed at the Munich star who passed directly in front of him.

He then turned on the spot and continued to follow Mane down the line with his eyes firmly locked onto the superstar, before leaving the pitch for kick-off.
The young Frankfurt supporter may have not been as happy with the striker once the match had kicked off with Mane scoring the third goal during Munich’s high-scoring rout.
Mane is not only recognised for his on-pitch heroics but also his charitable efforts of the pitch back in his home country Senegal, where has previously donated funds for a hospital to be built in his home village of Bambali and also funded a new secondary school in the area as well.
The former Premier League star left Liverpool this summer in search of a new challenge at Bayern Munich.
