Iker Casillas DELETES his tweet which announced that he was coming out as gay, in an apparent ‘JOKE’ | Daily Mail Online

October 19, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Iker Casillas bizarrely claims he was HACKED two hours after now-deleted tweet said he was coming out as gay, in an apparent ‘JOKE’ in response to rumours about his post-divorce dating life

Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has deleted a tweet from his account which seemingly announced he was coming out as gay.

The Spaniard, who made 275 appearances for Los Blancos, took to social media at 1.25pm on Sunday to make the announcement and asked for ‘respect’ from his followers – before deleting the tweet and claiming at 3.36pm that he had been hacked.

It comes after Casillas’ split from ex-wife Sara Carbonero back in March 2021 – following five years of marriage – with reports in Spain suggesting that the tweet was a joke in response to rumours about his post-divorce dating life.

In a blunt statement, the World Cup winner tweeted: ‘I hope you respect me: I’m gay. #happysunday’. The post has since been deleted.

Shortly after Casillas’ post, former rival and national team-mate Carles Puyol in a now also deleted tweet, wrote: ‘It’s time to tell our story, Iker’ with a heart and kiss emoji. Puyol has two children with girlfriend Vanesa Lorenzo.

After deleting his first tweet, Casillas wrote: ‘Hacked account. Luckily everything in order. Apologies to all my followers. And of course, more apologies to the LGBT community.’

Spanish outlet AS meanwhile suggested the original tweet was in response to rumours that he’s in a possible relationship with Alejandra Onieva – the ex-sister-in-law of Spanish TV host Tamara Falco.

The ex-goalkeeper announced his split from wife Sara Carbonero last March

Iker Casillas said he was ‘hacked’ after an original post in which he appeared to come out as gay, which was replied to by Carles Puyol who wrote: ‘It’s time to tell our story, Iker’

Openly gay Australian footballer Josh Cavallo hit out at the Spanish legends for ‘making fun out of coming out in football’.

The Adelaide United player tweeted: ‘@IkerCasillas and @Carles5Puyol joking and making fun out of coming out in football is disappointing.

‘It’s a difficult journey that any LGBTQ+ ppl have to go through. To see my role models and legends of the game make fun out of coming out and my community is beyond disrespectful.’

Reports in Spain in recent weeks claim that the Real Madrid legend has been in private with the actress, Onieva, on several occasions.

Murmurs of a possible relationship between the two have been ongoing for a couple of months, but Casillas seems to have shut that down with his recent tweet.

Other Spanish outlets, such as Marca, suggest that the ex-Madrid star tweeted this as he is tired of couples being attributed to him – which he has grown fairly accustomed to.

Reports say the tweet is a response to rumours that he’s in a relationship with Alejandra Onieva

Diario AS claimed that Casillas’ original tweet was in response to rumours over his love-life

Just last month, he rejected claims that he is dating Shakira – the ex-wife of his long-time Spain team-mate Gerard Pique.

Casillas had recently finalised his divorce from Spanish sports journalist Sara Carbonero, when rumours circulated that he was seeing the Colombian pop star after her recent separation from Barcelona defender Pique.

The 41-year-old’s recent follow of Shakira on Instagram had fuelled speculation on the nature of the pair’s relationship, but Casillas took to social media to rubbish the rumours.

Casillas ended his marriage in 2021 after five years and two children with journalist Sara Carbonero.

They famously shared enjoyed a romantic moment on live television when Carbonero interviewed the goalkeeper just moments after he had won the World Cup with Spain. However, ended things amicably after twelve years together.

He has since been linked with a number of famous names including, Rocio Osorno, Alejandra Onieva, María Jose Camacho and Melyssa Pinto.

Casillas enjoyed a spectacular playing career, winning a World Cup and two Euros with Spain

Teaching assistants quitting schools for supermarkets because of ‘joke’ wages | Primary schools | The Guardian

October 19, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Headteachers across the country say they cannot fill vital teaching assistant vacancies and that support staff are taking second jobs in supermarkets to survive because their wages are “just a joke”.

Schools are reporting that increasing numbers of teaching assistants are leaving because they will not be able to pay for high energy bills and afford food this winter. And with job ads often attracting no applications at all, heads fear they will be impossible to replace. They warn this will have a serious impact on children in the classroom, especially those with special educational needs, and will make it increasingly hard for teachers to focus on teaching.

Sam Browne, headteacher at Radnage Church of England primary school in Buckinghamshire, said one of his most highly skilled TAs resigned a week ago in tears because she loved her job but wasn’t earning enough to manage.

“She has a child in nursery and by the time she has paid for childcare fees she is making £10 a day,” he said. “That was difficult before, but now she can’t survive.”

He added: “The pay for TAs and support staff is just a joke.”

Heads say they will struggle to fund the £1,925 pay rise for support staff, offered by local authorities with no extra cash for schools at the beginning of the summer. But they also argue it doesn’t go nearly far enough.

Long Furlong primary school in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, has been advertising for over a year for a TA to provide one-to-one support for a vulnerable child with special needs. They have two similar vacancies and are on their fifth round of advertising.

Carol Dunne, the school’s headteacher, said: “I have just posted the ad on social media again, alongside an ad for the local Aldi which pays £11.40 an hour. Our position pays £10 an hour. So they will get more working in a supermarket.” Dunne added that one good candidate pulled out recently when she realised that she would be “worse off working at the school than on benefits”.

Claire Pegler, a full-time TA in a primary school in Gloucestershire, currently does evening and weekend shifts at a supermarket to keep her head above water. She told the Observer: “I’m on the edge and don’t know what to do. I don’t want to leave the school, but I’m considering whether I will be able to cope better working full-time at the supermarket.”

Two of Pegler’s TA colleagues at the school have interviews next week for additional supermarket work. Her school has been advertising for TAs since April last year, and recently took on two apprentices as they had no applications. “I love my job, but I understand why people aren’t applying,” Pegler said. “Unless you’ve got a partner supporting you on a good wage, the pay isn’t survivable.”

Steve Howell, headteacher at City of Birmingham School, a pupil referral unit for pupils aged five to 16, said: “Five years ago, we would advertise for two TA posts and get 150 applicants. Now you are lucky to get three or four. We’re advertising for 10 TAs now and there is very little interest.”

Most of Howell’s pupils have behavioural needs and are “disaffected and disengaged from school” when they enrol. Howell employs a larger than average number of TAs to support the children, and says they are “the lifeblood of the school”.

“They are often the people who kids go to when they are angry or upset,” he explained. “They de-escalate behaviour issues, so that teachers can go on teaching.”

As well as being unable to recruit, Howell says hanging on to TAs is a “massive problem”. “It’s the first time in my 10 years of school leadership that support staff are saying they just can’t afford to keep doing their job any more. Working in a shop pays you more,” he said.

Mike Short, head of education at the union Unison, said support staff were leaving schools “in droves” as a result of “chronic low pay”.

He said: “Dedicated, experienced workers can’t make the sums add up as household bills soar. And schools can’t recruit new staff, which is a disaster for children’s education.”

A Department for Education spokeswoman said: “We are grateful for the work of all support staff in education, and we recognise that schools – much like wider society – are facing cost pressures.”

She added “it is for schools to set the pay of their support staff”, but said that the government was “increasing core school funding by £4bn this year, as well as capping their energy bills”.

Neighbors call cops about kid selling ‘Ice Cold Beer’ but they laugh when they look closer

October 18, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Kids are clever. They like to think outside of the box and have a great imagination.

A boy in Utah has created a buzz in his neighborhood for being an ingenious entrepreneur.

11-year-old Seth built a stand near the side of the road. However, instead of lemonade, he sold something else.

He stood at the roadside with a sign that said “Ice cold beer”.

Because he was just a kid, a couple of his neighbors decided to call the police. The cops immediately went to the area to start an investigation.

There, they found out the nice twist Seth did for his business.

The boy wasn’t really selling alcohol at all. He wasn’t breaking the law.

A closer look at the sign revealed that he was actually selling root beer!

The boy didn’t deceive anyone. In his sign, the word “root” was written in green. You wouldn’t be able to see it without getting close.

Instead of getting mad at the boy for coming up with such an idea, the Brigham City Police Department considered it an excellent marketing strategy.

They were even amazed at how good his business went. Not a lot of kids would be able to pull that off.

Even the internet found it amazing.

One Facebook user said:

“That’s a kid that is destined to be a great marketing expert! He knew how to get attention of people. Seems it worked and he got police protection as well. 🤣. Bet he got lots of business as well. 👍”

Another one commented:

“He’s savy, neat and clean! Hard working and thinking about what appeals to the public…he can go anywhere with that mindset! And with that community of great police officers supporting him, he’s already got mentoring!!! love this 😎”

There was this person who said that whoever called the cops on the boy should feel ashamed. To that, the Brigham City Police Department replied:

“Our citizens should never feel ashamed or embarrassed to call us. They were just calling in what they felt was a suspicious circumstance. No harm, no foul.”

The police officers were also given praises for supporting the kid.

They handled the situation really well. And after finding out that he’s not doing anything wrong, some of them even bought cans of root beer. Well, who could resist the boy’s charm? Plus, each can was only $1.

The boy may be young but he sure knows how to make his business stand out.

His stand easily went viral. People from other states are quite disappointed that he doesn’t deliver to other places. Hopefully, in the future, he can come up with an equally clever business. For sure, just like his (root) beer stand, it’ll attract tons of customers- even those outside of his city and state.
