If your kid looks constipated in pictures, Pennsylvania dad Adam Perry has a hilarious solution.

Last month, Perry shared two side-by-side photos of his 5-year-old son. In the left image, the preschooler wears a pained-looking smile similar to the grimacing face emoji, but in the right snap, he is ready for catalog work. His smile is relaxed and genuine.

“My son when I tell him to smile vs when I yell out ‘poop!’ Perry, 38, wrote on Twitter. The tweet racked up nearly 300,000 likes and 13,000 retweets. He also received more than a thousand comments.

“Congrats! You’ve revealed the secret and unlocked the next level of parenting,” one person replied.

Added another, “This is why I volunteered at my kid’s school for picture day when they were little. If I’m paying $50 for those things, I want a good picture. Our code word was ‘fart’ though. Same reaction.”

One person joked that “poop jokes” are the only way to get family photoshoots accomplished.

Perry, a children’s book author, said that he and his wife Andrea, discovered early on that the only way to get a decent shot of their little boy is to make him laugh. 

Poop was the obvious choice.

“He’s found poop to be funny for a long time!” Perry told TODAY Parents.

Perry said that his son is very much enjoying internet stardom.

“He is very excited to be in his words— famous —” Perry shared. “He had a little article and his picture in the local paper. He’s having his 15 minutes a little early and thinks it’s all very cool.”  

Since sharing the side-by-side pictures on social media, Perry has been inundated with appreciation from other moms and dads, who were frustrated with their kids’ awkward smiles.

“They’re like, I tried it and it worked!'” Perry told TODAY. “Also, it doesn’t just work with kids. Adults are doing it too to make each other laugh in pictures.”

Microsoft co-founder turned philanthropist Bill Gates says he has been taken aback by the volume of “crazy” and “evil” conspiracy theories about him spreading on social media during the COVID-19 pandemic, but said on Wednesday he would like to explore what is behind them.

In an interview with Reuters, Gates said the millions of online posts and “crazy conspiracy theories” about him and about top U.S. infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci had likely taken hold in part because of the combination of a frightening viral pandemic and the rise of social media.

“Nobody would have predicted that I and Dr. Fauci would be so prominent in these really evil theories,” Gates said.

“I’m very surprised by that. I hope it goes away.”

Gates, a billionaire who stepped down as chairman of Microsoft Corp in 2014, has through his philanthropic Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation committed at least $1.75-billion to the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic. That includes support for some makers of vaccines, diagnostics and potential treatments.

Since the pandemic began a year ago, millions of conspiracies have spread over the Internet, fuelling misinformation about the coronavirus, its origins and the motives of those working to fight it.

They include claims that Fauci and Gates created the pandemic to try and control people, that they want to profit from the virus’ spread, and that they want to use vaccines to insert trackable microchips into people.

“But do people really believe that stuff?,” Gates asked.

“We’re really going to have to get educated about this over the next year and understand . how does it change peoples’ behaviour and how should we have minimized this?”

EXCITED ABOUT BIDEN

Gates praised Fauci and Francis Collins, head of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, as “smart” and “wonderful people”, and said he looked forward to seeing them able to work effectively and speak the truth under the new administration of President Joe Biden.

During former President Donald Trump’s handling of the pandemic, Gates said, it had “sometimes felt like they were the only sane people in the U.S. government.”

“I’m excited about the team that Biden has picked” to tackle the health crisis, Gates said.

Gates said he was also pleased that under Biden, the United States has rejoined the World Health Organization, and “that he’s appointed smart people, and the fact that Dr. Fauci won’t be suppressed.”

NCT Dream sukses merayakan event spesial April Mop dengan cara mereka sendiri.

Pada tanggal 1 April 2021 lalu tepat pukul 00.00 KST, akun official NCT Dream merilis sebuah video dengan judul ‘Café 7 Dream’.

Video yang diunggah melalui YouTube dan akun sosial media resmi mereka ini langsung mendapat banyak perhatian di kalangan penggemar K-Pop, khususnya NCTZen (sebutan bagi penggemar NCT Dream). Apalagi sebelum video dirilis, salah satu membernya yaitu Haechan, sudah mengingatkan para penggemar agar tidak tertidur dan menunggu hingga pukul 00.00 KST.

Di dalam video tersebut, member NCT Dream berganti profesi menjadi pekerja di sebuah Café bernama 7 Dream. Mulai dari Jaemin dan Jeno sebagai barista, Haechan dan Mark sebagai pembuat roti, Renjun sebagai desainer, Chenle sebagai manajer dan Jisung, sang maknae sebagai peneliti.

Diceritakan bahwa Jisung sedang mengembangkan menu spesial yaitu love portion. Sebagai seorang manajer, Chenle berharap ketika pelanggan mengonsumsi menu love portion, mereka dapat merasakan cinta yang tulus.

Café ini juga terlihat semakin unik karena setiap membernya memiliki maskot masing-masing sesuai dengan ciri khas mereka. Akun instagram mereka (@nct_dream) juga berubah seolah-olah menjadi akun resmi Café 7 Dream, lengkap dengan alamat dan jam operasionalnya.

Tidak lama setelah diunggah, banyak penggemar yang berpikir bahwa ini bukan sekedar video biasa, melainkan video teaser comeback dari NCT Dream. Memang, sebelumnya telah beredar rumor yang mengatakan bahwa grup di bawah naungan SM Entertainment ini akan melakukan comeback dalam waktu dekat.

Hal ini semakin diperkuat dengan para member yang sudah mengganti warna rambutnya. Biasanya, ketika sebuah boy grup akan melakukan comeback, maka para membernya akan mengganti warna rambut mereka sesuai konsep comeback.

Tetapi, ternyata video ini merupakan hadiah dari NCT Dream kepada penggemarnya untuk merayakan April Mop. Walaupun hanya sekedar konten April Mop, konten Café 7 Dream tidak hanya bertahan selama sehari saja, tetapi 5 hari mulai dari 1 April hingga 5 April. Para member mengklarifikasi hal tersebut melalui platform Bubble.

Tidak hanya itu, SM Entertainment juga memberikan pernyataan tentang konten April Mop ini melalui press release di website mereka. Setelah klarifikasi, banyak penggemar yang merasa tidak percaya bahwa mereka terkena prank dan juga malu karena salah menebak.
