Comedian and actor Kieran Hodgson’s video of his hilarious Happy Valley impressions has gone viral.

Hodgson, who recently co-wrote and starred in Channel 4’s Prince Andrew: The Musical, shared a video online in which he recaps the third and final series of the hit BBC show. Hodgson speaks in character as the Happy Valley stars.

During the video, he imitates Sarah Lancashire’s Catherine Cawood and her sister Clare, played by Siobhan Finneran.

He also delivers impressions of Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton) and his teenage son Ryan (Rhys Connah).

Other moments see Hodgson take on Susan Lynch’s Alison Garrs, Conn O’Neil’s performance of Clare’s boyfriend Neil, and the PE teacher Mr Hepworth (Mark Stanley).

Hodgson shared the video on Twitter, writing: “A little treat for fans of #HappyValley Bad TV Impressions.”

Viewers have disagreed with his assessment, however, and are commending him for his efforts.

Director Jon S Baird (Filth) called the video “absolutely brilliant”, with actor and impressionist Jan Ravens concluding: “What a delight! It keeps on getting better.”

Comedian, actor and writer Anna Morris branded his impressions “genius”, while Twitter user @Gribbsy stated: “Can’t stop watching it.”

Hodgson has previously filmed similar videos for TV shows such as Line of Duty, The Crown, His Dark Materials and Succession.

Happy Valley’s third and final series drew to a close on Sunday (5 February).

Following the episode’s broadcast, creator Sally Wainwright revealed that the ending was changed at the request of Lancashire.

Happy Valley is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Trevor Noah Is Hilarious, Positive In 2023 Grammys Monologue

March 1, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

After a high energy opening performance by Latin music superstar Bad Bunny, Trevor Noah—who looked damn good in that white tuxedo jacket—kicked off the 65th Annual Grammy Awards with a monologue where he shouted out all the famous names in the building.

“My job is to be your eyes, your ears,” he said. “I’ll be floating around this room. Think of me like a Chinese spy balloon. That’s what I’m doing right now, gathering all the information you want.”

Trevor started with Beyoncé, because she is the name on everyone’s lips right now. He pointed out how influential her album Renaissance was, joking that it may have led to his decision to leave The Daily Show.

“Beyoncé is nominated for her album Renaissance. Which by the way, was better than anything from the actual renaissance in my opinion,” he said. “The renaissance was just pictures of grapes and stuff. Beyoncé took it up another level. I was so inspired by the lyrics of “Break My Soul,” I actually quit my job. I just wish Beyoncé had also written a song about the importance of having savings before you quit your job.”

Something tells me that Trevor is gonna be OK. The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actor also shouted out pop star Harry Styles, talking about his penchant for defying gender expectations in fashion. He also called Harry the biggest sex symbol in the world, controversial comments when you remember that Michael B. Jordan is still a person who exists.

“Women throw their panties at this man, then he puts them on and he looks better in them than they do,” Noah said. “Easily the world’s sexiest man, there’s no competition. Sex symbol of the globe. Especially now that they killed off the green m&m.”

Like the rest of us, Noah had thoughts on Kendrick Lamar’s much talked about album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.

“Man is super talented. He’s got Pulitzers, he’s got Grammys, his album was a therapy session that earned him multiple Grammy nominations,” he said. “All my therapist got me was helping me overcome my childhood trauma. Useless.”

Trevor also had nothing but kind words for “About Damn Time” singer Lizzo, celebrating her work ethic, as well as her status as the world’s most famous flutist.

“Body positivity, the TV shows, taking over the world, killing the haters on Instagram and Twitter. I love it,” he said. “The most famous flute player in the world since…I’m sure there were others. And you want to stick around because Lizzo’s performing tonight at exactly bac bitch o’clock.”

From introducing Adele and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, to his enthusiastic celebration of Beyoncé, Trevor Noah’s opening was exactly the fun, positive tone we needed to start the show with.

Obama Lets It Slip? Talks About ‘Crazy’ ‘Uncle Joe, You Know What Happened to Him’

March 1, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Appearing at a rally in Atlanta for Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock on Thursday, former President Barack Obama seemed to let loose a Freudian slip in which he admitted that President Joe Biden is not someone we should trust with “serious responsibilities.”

Warnock is in an extremely tight race against GOP candidate Herschel Walker that has gone into a run-off in the Peach State. The race is a very important one that will affect the balance of power in the upper chamber. It is a must-win for both sides.

In their efforts to get Warnock re-elected, the Democrats are bringing in the big guns — and Obama is still the biggest gun the Democrats have.

But on Thursday, he seemed to take aim at his former vice president.

During Obama’s address at the rally, he made fun of comments Walker had made about how he’d rather be a werewolf than a vampire.

“We all know some folks in our lives — we don’t wish them ill will — they say crazy stuff,” Obama said.

Then he slipped into an aside using one of the nicknames often applied to Biden. “You know, Uncle Joe, you know what happened to him. You know, it’s OK. They’re part of the family but you don’t give them serious responsibilities.”

Chris Rock Unloads On Will Smith ‘Hit Me Over A B.S. Joke, Showed Us He Was As Ugly As The Rest Of Us’ – BroBible

March 1, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Chris Rock is apparently done taking the high road with Will Smith.

Earlier this week, Rock revealed that he would not host The Oscars again and compared it to Nicole Brown Simpson going “back to the restaurant” where she left her eyeglasses before being killed.

Chris Rock says he turned down hosting the Oscars next year, saying going back to the awards ceremony would be like asking Nicole Brown Simpson “to go back to the restaurant” where she left her eyeglasses before being killed https://t.co/ZjIPuhYePO

— philip lewis (@Phil_Lewis_) August 29, 2022

Rock is again raising eyebrows by openly bashing Smith over the now infamous slap. During a recent tour date in the UK, Rock blasted Smith for hitting him over a bullsh** joke.

Rock was performing with Dave Chappelle at Liverpool’s M&S Arena for the first night of their multi-date tour. Chappelle asked Rock about the infamous slap, probing: ‘Did that s**t hurt?’

‘Goddam right… the motherf***er hit me over a bulls**t joke, the nicest joke I ever told.

Rock ripped into Smith for acting like a “perfect person” for the last 30 years only to show that he’s “as ugly” as everyone else in the world.

“Will did the impression of a perfect person for 30 years, and he ripped his mask off and showed us he was as ugly as the rest of us,” he added.

“Whatever the consequences are … I hope he doesn’t put his mask back on again and lets his real face breathe,” Rock continued. “I see myself in both men.”

Just last month, Smith apologized to Rock in a lengthy Youtube post.

“I was fogged out by that point. It’s all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is he’s not ready to talk and when he is he will reach out.”

“(Speaking now to Rock) So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”

Baby Kookaburra lets out signature “laugh” in adorable video and melts 9 million hearts

February 28, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

There’s a certain level of curiosity and awe when animals mimic human sounds.

It can be terrifying at first and it may have been the stuff of superstitions in the cultures that encountered them.

But we can’t disregard the fact that it’s kind of amazing.

Laughter is the best medicine.

The animals that easily come to mind are howling monkeys, laughing hyenas, or cats that mimic baby cries.

We’re not going to dump in parrots because that’s kind of cheating, but we’ll definitely include another adorable bird.

The Kookaburra

A kookaburra demonstrated this uncanny laugh in a video posted by ViralHog.

The video shows a baby kookaburra perched on the stair railing.

It was not specified where the place was or if the bird was under the care of the person taking the video.

It seems, however, that the bird seemed comfortable.

With its button eye, seemingly oversized head, and large beak, the baby kookaburra approached the camera a bit.

Then, without warning, it laughed.

The laugh sounded like a sinister laugh that was a mix between croaking and cackling.

This sound gave the bird its colloquial name “laughing kookaburra”.

This habit of “laughing” also gave it its other names like the “bushman’s alarm clock” as it laughs at sunrise and just before sunset.

It would be crazy to imagine how the first natives reacted when they heard the kookaburra in the wilderness.

They are native to eastern Australia.

They are commonly found perched on eucalyptus trees much like Australia’s iconic animal, the koala bear.

They’re big in their family.

These birds can grow up to a pound and 18 inches in length.

This makes them one of the biggest birds of the Kingfisher family.

Its diet includes a variety of invertebrates and small vertebrates like smaller species of snakes.

They also pose a headache to farmers in Western Australia because they attack farm fowl.

Their “laugh” isn’t actually laughter.

It’s a typical territorial call that kookaburras use to warn other birds in the area.

So next time you hear one, it might just be a bird asking for its personal space.

Kookaburras are considered as least concern when it comes to risks of extinction. The species is spread out all over the world.

However, conservationists have observed a downward trend when it comes to their Australian and Southeast Asian populations.

Conservationists blame excessive logging.

The video has gone viral.

Not because of the laughter but for how adorable the baby bird is.

It has over 700,000 likes and over 10,000 comments.

People are in love.

“That has to be the cutest baby bird I have ever seen!” said one comment.

Another one even said that they wanted to kiss its fluffy head.

“I have literally NEVER known what a Kookaburra looks or sounds like until this point in my life,” said another commenter.

“I have never in my life even considered that Kookaburras ever had baby stages, yet I have been positively graced by the presence of this fluffy ball today,” wrote a newly converted kookaburra fan.

Hear the “laughter” that has people falling for this tiny bird in the video below!

Please SHARE this with your friends and family.
