Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 41, breaks Euro record to rapturous applause for Sweden… but hat-trick hero Lukaku has last laugh

April 3, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC created European history in Sweden’s Euro qualifier with Belgium – but he ended up being upstaged by former Manchester United team-mate Romelu Luaku.

The Swede became the oldest player to feature in European Championship qualifiers on Friday night – breaking Dino Zoff’s 30-year record.

Here comes Zlatan! 🦁🇸🇪

But he made history in the 73rd minute by becoming the oldest player to feature in Euro qualifiers

But Ibra, aged 41 years and 172 days old, had the headlines stolen from him by Belgium’s Lukaku in Stockholm.

Lukaku, 29, hit a superb hat-trick at the Friends Arena to Domenico Tedesco’s to second place in Group F.

Ibrahimovic, who last week became the oldest scorer ever in Serie A for AC Milan, was thrown in off the bench after 73 minutes with his side two goals behind.

And those goals both came from Lukaku, on loan from Chelsea at Inter Milan, with his 69th and 70th goals for the Red Devils.

And late on he took that tally to 71 to hand new coach Domenico Tedesco a huge win for his first game in charge.

Former Manchester United forward Lukaku was set up for both his first in the 35th minute and second four minutes after the break by Dodi Lukebakio.

Ibrahimovic’s introduction was greeted by the biggest roar of the night by the 50,000 Friends Arena crowd as he replaced Newcastle’s Alexander Isak in the 73rd minute.

Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, with the armband as Belgium captain, found Yannick Carrasco at the far post – but his shot was deflected away for a corner.

After 14 minutes Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski came within millimetres of giving Sweden the lead after his shot squirmed past Thibault Courtois.

But with the home players and fans screaming that the ball had crossed the line, Leicester’s Wout Faes cleared just in time with Israeli referee Orel Grinfeeld waving away the protests.

Belgium then went close as a header from Arthur Theate was tipped over the bar by Aston Villa’s Robin Olsen.

But the Red Devils took the lead after 35 mins. Hertha Berlin winger Lukebakio had been Belgium’s best player in the first half.

And he put in a superb cross from which Lukaku rose to score – even if the goal appeared to graze his shoulder on the way in.

And just four minutes after the break the same devastating double-act did it again for Belgium.

Lukebakio tricked his way along the goalline with a burst of pace, and from his fiercely-driven cross Lukaku got the vital touch from a yard out.

The appearance of Ibrahimovic gave the home support brief cheer – but the respite was brief as Lukaku tapped in after brilliant work from substitute Johan Bakayoko with seven minutes left.

Grunge to Glam! Look Back at Miley Cyrus’ Crazy Style Evolution

April 2, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

A total transformation! Miley Cyrus has had quite the dramatic style transformation since she stepped into the spotlight with her 2006 hit show Hannah Montana.

Because while she may have started out in sweet dresses and cowboy boots that took inspiration from her country roots, she made it clear in the years that followed that she’s not afraid to shy away from shock value when it comes to her style.

In a behind-the-scenes video with ScreenSlam in August 2016, she revealed that her skin-baring on-stage looks and out-of-the-box fashion statements are actually a form of distraction.

“The way I dress to distract — it’s a comforting thing to me,” she said. “I think style can be something that can make you feel comfortable. It’s something to kind of not maybe just have everyone staring into you should. That’s [fashion] is giving them something to look at.”

While the “Party in the USA” singer has taught Us to always be prepared for a style surprise (think: her Simone Harouche bubble dress at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards), she’s also fully equipped at rocking a gorgeous gown or sophisticated suit.

Because according to a 2021 interview she did with Vogue, Cyrus’ wide-ranging style is pretty reflective of her personality at any point in time.

“Fashion to me is kind of like flipping yourself inside out. It’s like wearing your heart, wearing your guts, wearing your values, wearing your identity, wearing your pain, wearing you joy,” she revealed. “There’s something kind of childlike about it. You’re so fearless when you get yourself dressed when you’re a kid. You don’t think about what someone will think of you or what they’ll judge.”

She added: “It’s just about expression and how you feel that day. There’s a fearlessness. And so when I get dressed, I try to kind of think like my inner child and be genuine and authentic in whatever I’m wearing.”

From uber-girly ensembles like her maroon, princess-esque Zac Posen tulle gown at the 2018 Grammys to her bondage-inspired leather look at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival, Cyrus definitely doesn’t stick to any particular aesthetic.

So without further adieu, keep scrolling to see how the “Slide Away” singer’s style has evolved from her Disney channel days to her present-day edge following the release of her album Endless Summer Vacation in March 2023.

45 Funny And Wholesome Parents Who Still Treat Their Kids As If They Were Little (New Pics)

April 2, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

They say that you always stay a child for your parent. And that’s 100% true.

But some moms, dads, aunts, uncles and grandmas and -pas take their love to a whole new level by showering their little children with endless love and care. Except that often they’re not so little, but rather grown-up adults paying their bills, building their careers, and sometimes, having their own families.

Below we wrapped up some of the funniest and most wholesome examples of parents and caregivers treating their adult kids like children. Psst! More funny pictures of parents nurturing their adult kids can be found in our previous feature.

#3 Came Home And Found This. I Love My Mom

I’m an adult, I live with my parents because I could not afford to move out until now (I got my degree 6 years ago, then started a PhD, and now I’m completing a specialization course in oral surgery). I got a wonderful girlfriend and I deeply love my parents, but due to being a bit too quiet and introvert at home, I do not tell them how much I appreciate and admire their hard work to raise me as much as I should. Today I came back from the hospital where I work and found this little gem waiting for me in my room. Yesterday was my birthday and this is a gift I won’t forget, maybe it’s not much for you, but it’s everything to me knowing that my mom is behind it with all of her heart.

While we all stay kids to our parents, in some rarer cases, treating an adult like a child can have serious consequences. In psychology, it’s known as infantilization, which creates a cycle of dependence in which the adult constantly needs to be told what to do and how to do it.

Southern Mississippi researchers believe that it’s the excessive control involved in overparenting that is at the heart of the difficulties that children of narcissistic parents can experience. According to this article from Psychology Today, Winner and Nicholson define “parental psychological control” (PPC) as emotional intrusion, not just the attempts to limit the child from becoming a grown-up.

Moreover, a growing body of research suggests that the potential for parents to go too far in their desire to remain prominent and involved within their children’s lives appears to be linked to the development of narcissistic traits.

Susan Krauss Whitbourne, Ph.D., ABPP, a professor of psychological and brain sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, argues that “we do not know what their parents were actually like, but the existence of this relationship suggests how narcissism can be passed on from generation to generation.”

“Parents who dig around in the emotional lives of their children will produce children who may, in turn, feel that this is the best way to raise a child. The Winner and Nicholson study sheds light on one step in the process: the recollection by children of how their parents treat them.”
