QUEEN Release “Queen The Greatest: Live” Episode 24: “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”; Video – BraveWords

July 21, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Queen’s The Greatest: Live video series continues with Episode 24, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”. Watch below.

Famously conceived by Freddie Mercury in 1979 amidst the bubbles of his bathtub at Munich’s Bayerischer Hof hotel, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” has always been one of the most playful songs in the Queen catalogue. But as we see in this week’s live archive footage from Japan ’82, the song evolved on the stage to include an outro jam that found the band flexing their musical muscles.

As the first song in contention for 1980’s The Game at Munich’s Musicland Studios, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” moved at pace. “It took me five or ten minutes,” Freddie told Melody Maker of writing the Elvis-inspired foundations. “I did that on the guitar, which I can’t play for nuts, and in one way it was quite a good thing, because I was restricted, knowing only a few chords.”

Perhaps wary of the song vanishing into the ether, Freddie coralled the lineup and urged engineer Reinhold Mack to roll the tape. “Freddie wrote it very quickly and rushed in and put it down with the boys,” Brian May told Absolute Radio. “By the time I got there, it was almost done. And I think the sounds that Mack managed to get – these very elemental, very real, ambient sounds in the studio – had a big contribution to make. It does sound very authentic.”

The pièce de résistance was the period-correct ’50s twang of Brian’s guitar solo, reluctantly performed on Roger Taylor’s Telecaster. “I got bludgeoned into playing it,” said the guitarist. “That was Mack’s idea.”

As the band’s first US #1, Mercury admitted it took “sheer guts and bravery” to strap on a twelve-string acoustic and drive the song’s rockabilly rhythm live. But as we see in this week’s footage, when the Japanese leg of 1982’s Hot Space Tour concluded at Tokorozawa’s Seibu Lions Stadium on November 3rd, the song had become the ideal platform for jamming, with Brian and Freddie gathered around piano player Fred Mandel with the joyous intimacy of a pub lock-in.

As an aside, Mandel would also join Brian and Eddie Van Halen in April 1983 at LA’s Record Plant for the near-mythical Star Fleet Project sessions – and four decades later, the thrilling results can be heard on the enhanced 40th Anniversary Edition, released July 14 on CD, vinyl and LP deluxe boxset.

Watch Jorginho score hilarious 30-yard own-goal in pre-season friendly as fans joke ‘oh Arsenal, I’ve missed you’

July 20, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

JORGINHO netted a baffling 30-yard own goal as the Arsenal midfielder prepared for Declan Rice’s arrival in the worst way possible.

The Italian pass-master won’t pass muster for much longer if he repeats the blunder he made in the Gunners’ opening pre-season friendly, Thursday’s 1-1 draw against Nurnberg in Germany.

The midfielder had to fight for the ball but only made the matter worse[/caption]

But Arsenal‘s sub keeper Karl Hein was partly to blame.

His casual pass forward from the edge of the area left Jorginho under pressure.

And the Italian matched Hein’s carelessness by prodding a first-time left-footer back past the Estonian and into the net.

That freaky moment in the 62nd minute cancelled out a flashing early opener from Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka.

But Gunners’ fans were at least delighted to see new boy Kai Havertz come on at the interval.

One fan said of Jorginho’s cock-up: “Oh Arsenal, I’ve missed you.”

But another added: “Lol that keeper is mad that pass was never on.”

And a third went further: “Even tho Jorginho was the Arsenal player who last touched the ball I’m giving that own goal to Karl Hein.”

Jorginho’s misfortune comes as the Gunners still wait to tie up Rice‘s £106million signing from West Ham.

Some supporters are getting anxious – because it’s a week after terms for the England anchorman’s move appeared to have been settled.

But apart from Rice, Emirates chief Mikel Arteta is tipped to land another central player.

That shake-up has already led to Granit Xhaka departing Arsenal for Bayer Leverkusen.

And it could see Thomas Partey exiting too.

Jorginho is tipped for an influential bit-part role – albeit not the type he showed on Thursday night vs Bundesliga 2 side Nurnberg.

Sub striker Folarin Balogun wasted a gaping chance in stoppage-time as the Gunners drew.

High School Musical star Bart Johnson shares hilarious video after seeing Zendaya and Tom Holland | Daily Mail Online

July 20, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

High School Musical star Bart Johnson has shared a hilarious clip of the moment he saw Marvel superstars Tom Holland and Zendaya enjoying a stroll down an unassuming street in west London.

The actor, 52, was walking around the streets of Richmond on Tuesday, and documented his travels on Instagram.

Whilst walking along Richmond Road, Bart passed the Odeon cinema, initially unaware that the famous couple have just walked past across the road.

The video began with Johnson, most notable for playing Zac Efron‘s dad coach Jack Bolton in the High School Musical film series, setting the scene for his followers.

Bart, who has reprised his role in Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, told the camera: ‘Hey, look where I’m at, I’m in Richmond, you know what Richmond has besides this awesome theatre?

Look who it is! High School Musical star Bart Johnson has shared a hilarious clip of the moment he saw Marvel superstars Tom Holland and Zendaya enjoying a stroll in west London

Low-key: The actor spotted the couple while visiting Richmond, and poked fun at the fact Zendaya had an on-screen romance with Zac Efron, who played his son in High School Musical

‘It’s Ted Lasso’s town, Ted Lasso lives here. What a charming little town here, Richmond.’

The clip then cut to Bart wandering down the street post-realisation of who has just walked past, as he revealed: ‘You want to know how small a world it is?

‘So guess who was walking on the other side of the street whilst I was making that video right there.’

Johnson then turned the camera around, pointing it towards a zebra crossing on the other side of the road, adding: ‘Zendaya and Tom Holland. Hey guys, hey we’re all in Richmond, isn’t that fun.’

The clip then showed Bart walking down the street whilst being filmed by a pal as he sipped a drink.

The cameraman then turned the camera around to reveal that walking just a little further ahead of them were the A-list couple.

Zendaya, dressed in all black, had her arm around Holland’s shoulders, who was himself clad in a pink t-shirt, dark cargo trousers and a baseball cap.

The co-starring pair seem to be unaware that Johnson and his pal were just behind them, as they wandered nonchalantly down the street.

Cheeky! In a final clip recorded after spotting the pair, Johnson joked: ‘I’ve got to tell Zendaya, hey you dated my son – kind of’

Crazy: Johnson’s quip was in reference to Zac Efron and Zendaya’s performance in the film The Greatest Showman

In a final clip recorded after spotting the pair, Johnson joked: ‘I’ve got to tell Zendaya, hey you dated my son – kind of.’

Johnson’s quip was in reference to Zac Efron and Zendaya’s performance in the film The Greatest Showman where the latter served as a love interest for Efron’s character Phillip Carlyle.

Johnson’s clip attracted dozens of comments from viewers who were delighted to see their favourite celebrity couple out and about in public.

One user wrote: ‘Phew new Tomdaya content.’

Another wrote: ‘I hope they stay together forever.’

A third said: ‘God, I Love them.’

Another commented: ‘Love birds.’

Romance: Zendaya and Holland keep their relationship under wraps and are rarely photographed together since they started dating in 2021 (pictured that year)

Zendaya and Holland keep their relationship under wraps and are rarely photographed together since they started dating in 2021.

The pair reportedly moved in together last year, buying a six-bedroom home in west London for £3m, before carrying out £250,000 worth of renovation works.

Spiderman star Holland has recently starred in the psychological thriller Apple TV mini-series, The Crowded Room.

Zendaya meanwhile will star in Dune: Part Two, the sequel to 2021’s epic sci-fi Dune, which is set to release in November this year.
