A Florida mom shared the hilarious moment her 20-month-old son realized his family was about to change. 

“When you’re just not ready to give up being the youngest yet,” Alex Serraes captioned a now-viral TikTok video.

In the clip, Benjamin is shown sitting on a hospital bed meeting his little brother, Theo. At first, Benjamin appears intrigued by the newborn on his lap.

“When we asked Benjamin if he wanted to take a picture, he was so excited and kept holding his arms out. I was thinking, ‘Oh my gosh, this is going surprisingly well,’” Serraes, 30, tells TODAY.com, with a laugh. 

Not so fast! Suddenly, Benjamin decides he’s had enough, and pushes Theo away. Several TikTokers noted that he manages to look both scared and confused at the same time.

“Get,” Benjamin says. He then begins to cry and reaches for his grandmother, as if to say, “help!”

“I think part of it is Benjamin didn’t realize what was in my belly,” Serraes, a third grade teacher, says. “Even when he walked into the hospital room, he didn’t notice the baby. He hadn’t seen me and his dad in two days and he was so excited. Then he saw Theo and was like, ‘What is happening?'”

“Return to sender,” one person joked in the comments.

Added another, “He said nah this little guy is trying to dethrone me, I’m not here for it folks.

Serraes and her husband, Glen, are also parents of 3-year-old son, Luke. Luke’s introduction to Theo went more smoothly.

“What’s funny is Benjamin is now obsessed with Theo — and my oldest one, he likes Theo, but he sort of wants to do his own thing,” Serraes says.

Though her phone is filled with photos of Benjamin doting on Theo, Serraes notes that he’s still adjusting to the newest member of their family.

“He’s been doing things to get attention lately. Like he’ll climb up on our tables and start dancing or yelling at the top of his lungs,” Serraes says. “But he’s really taken to Theo. Every morning he runs in and tries to kiss him on the head.”

She had nothing to say about the border crisis or the economy. Voters noticed. Trumpeting the Biden administration’s record to Latinos in Houston last week, Vice President Kamala Harris ignored the two biggest issues Hispanics — and everyone else in the Lone Star State — are facing today: wide-open borders and the failure of Bidenomics. Texas Latinos weren’t impressed. “Kamala Harris coming to Houston while continuing to ignore the crisis at our southern border is a slap in the face to every Texan, every American, and every Hispanic American in this country,” said former U.S. Rep. Mayra Flores. It turns out that Hispanic voters are not so interested in government handouts, Ivy League radicalism, or free abortions on demand. Why did Harris — the administration’s appointed and anointed “border czar” — come to Texas anyway? It’s a sign that Democrats are rightly worried that the Latino portion of their traditional base is beginning to lose interest in what they have to offer. And they’re right to be worried. Even the Washington Post acknowledged that “Hispanic voters are drifting toward the GOP,” citing not only President Donald Trump’s showing with Hispanics in 2020 but also kitchen table issues such as the economy and inflation. “Polls consistently find that Hispanic voters prefer Republicans to Democrats on inflation and handling the economy,” Democratic consultant Ruy Teixeira wrote. “Nearly all — 86 percent — Hispanics say economic conditions are only fair or poor, and about three-quarters say the same thing about their personal financial situation. By 2 to 1 they say President Biden’s policies are hurting, not helping, them and their families.” Yet the vice president’s trip shows the Biden administration continues to fundamentally misunderstand the hardworking, tradition-minded Hispanic community. It turns out that they’re not so interested in government handouts, Ivy League radicalism, or free abortions on demand; they’re far more focused on freedom and opportunity for their families. And the Biden administration’s policies put those goals further and further out of reach. Let’s start with the border. Citing a poll by the Libre Institute, CBS News reported that “65% of 1,000 Latinos surveyed indicated that more needed to be done to control illegal immigration along the southern border. The Immigration Hub-commissioned poll also found 63% of Latino voters support increased border security.” That’s seen everywhere, including the so-called sanctuary cities such as Chicago, which are appealing to the Biden administration for bailouts as they deal with just a fraction of the illegal immigration that Texas has to face every day. “There has been large-scale resistance not from the cities’ white hipsters, but instead from those in black and Latino neighborhoods,” reported Kristin Tate for the Messenger. “Hundreds of residents of Chicago’s racially diverse Hyde Park neighborhood protested against a resettlement plan at a public meeting. And protesters marched in New York City with signs in English and Spanish calling the wave of migrants an ‘invasion.’” By the way, the Democrats’ misunderstanding of the border issue extends to black voters, as well. “Nearly three times as many black Democrats describe illegal immigration as a ‘threat’ to the country than their white Democrat counterparts,” Tate noted. The vice president also misread the room — indeed the nation — in lauding the administration’s “transformative policies for the American people.” Transformative, indeed. The fact is, Americans are hurting — and that includes Hispanic Americans. Writing for Fox News, Job Creators Network CEO Alfredo Ortiz argued that Bidenomics is at the heart of why Hispanics are moving to the Republican Party. Noting that the median national income declined sharply in 2022 due to inflation, Ortiz wrote, “The pain of falling living standards is especially acute for Hispanics, who earn far less than average Americans. What a contrast to 2017 to 2019, when Hispanics’ real median household incomes rose by $6,710 due to the Trump economic boom.” If Kamala Harris had the nerve to ask Hispanics if they’re better off now than they were four years ago, that would be the answer. Mayra Flores quite nicely summed up the Democrats’ fears in her response to the vice president’s trip: “Hispanic Americans are flocking toward the Republican Party because we have the solutions to solve the issues at the border, the gas pump, the grocery store, and everywhere in between.” Want to leave a tip? I’m A Celebrity fans have been left raging after Josie Gibson was given the boot right before the final. The Bristolian TV presenter, who won herself extra fans in the jungle thanks to her glorious West Country accent, narrowly missed out on being in the final three as it was announced she had become the 7th celebrity to be voted out of camp. Josie, 38, was told by Ant and Dec in last night’s show that she had placed fourth, with the former Brimsham Green School pupil waved off by finalists Nigel Farage, Sam Thompson and Tony Bellew as she crossed the bridge. He’s just a proper gentleman and a proper family man; I love the way he talks about his family.” When asked again who she would like to win the series, Josie replied: “Out of them two – Sam or Tony.” Meanwhile, some viewers were furious that Josie had not made it to the final. On X, formerly Twitter, Lils said: “This country is a joke. How is Nigel still in there, never let the public vote.” Suzie wrote: “I cannot believe for one minute, I am in complete disbelief that Josie was chosen over Farage. I give up. Won’t be watching this farce ever again after this year.” “WHYYY!!! How has Josie gone before Tony?” Adam questioned. “I want Nigel to win now because I don’t like Sam or Tony.” Siobhan said: “This is ridiculous!! Nigel Farage is in the final?! Throwing ALL my votes behind Sam now because I think he’s the only one who has the support to topple Nigel.” Meanwhile, others have said it is “right” that Tony, Sam and Nigel are in the final. “That’s probably the right top 3 tbf,” Shauna wrote. “Right result,” Elaine posted. “The other 3 are all winners in their own ways.” Last night’s show also saw the contestants face Celebrity Cyclone, where they were tasked with collecting stars while dressed as superheroes. The campmates were hit with water jets and giant balls and Josie was one of the celebrities who struggled to make her way across the assault course and was, at one point, knocked to the floor. Adam Driver fully commits on “Saturday Night Live,” even when he’s tasked with the role of an infant. Driver returned as host for the fourth time on the iconic late night sketch comedy show Dec. 9 alongside musical guest Olivia Rodrigo. The “House of Gucci” star took on many roles throughout the evening, including a disgruntled baby named Eddie who is traveling alone with his mother, Sarah Sherman, for the first time. In “Airplane Baby” Sherman starts off the sketch by letting the the passengers near her, including Kenan Thompson and Heidi Gardner, know that it was her baby’s first time flying on a plane and to apologize in advance. At the start, Gardner assures Sherman that it was fine because she had gone through similar scenarios in the past as a mom of three. When Gardner asks how old baby Eddie is, the screen cuts to Driver’s face shoved through an airplane seat above a baby doll’s body. “11 months,” he replies, which leaves Gardner and Thompson in disbelief before the “Good Burger” star suggests, “You mean 11 months and like 15,000 days?” Driver’s irritation starts to set in, first by a “strange” feeling in his ears that is only soothed by his iPad, or as he calls it, his “‘Peppa Pig’ device.” The next thing to set Driver off is the flight attendant, played by Chloe Troast, coming over for drink orders. When Troast asks Sherman about her baby, Driver responds, “Who is that woman? She’s not my mother. Now I’m feeling confused and uncomfortable and frankly, I miss the womb!” before he bursts into hysterics. Sherman then soothes Driver with his bottle, which he promptly spits out before calmly confirming that he was feeling better. It’s then Sherman shares with Troast that she was pregnant with Driver for two years and was “worried he would come out overcooked.” Driver tries to distract himself by trying to fit his whole arm into his mouth, but is promptly interrupted by Sherman who instead suggest they play with his teddy bear. He’s delighted at first when she shows him the toy, but screams at the top of his lungs when Sherman hides the bear behind her back. Sherman pulls the bear out from behind her back, ending Driver’s hysterics. He adds, “Pookie has returned. I feel such elation!” Things take a turn for the worse again when Sherman puts the toy behind her back again, which leads Driver to another dramatic reaction, yelling, “He’s gone! You killed him, you b—-!” When his teddy bear is presented to him again, all is well for a few moments until Driver has to go to the bathroom and makes direct eye contact with Thompson the whole time. However, when he’s done, disaster strikes again as he declares that he doesn’t “like the way it feels” before he breaks into another primal scream. Driver kicked off the evening with his monologue, showing off his piano skills as he gave viewers insight into his annual ritual of telling his Christmas wish list to Santa Claus. His wish list included a host of items and asks, including “five pairs of chinos” since he marked his 40th birthday on Nov. 19. He also wished for “people to stop coming up to me on the street saying ‘You killed Han Solo,’” before sharing the real reason, “I didn’t kill Han Solo, wokeness killed Han Solo.” Driver also shared more of his Christmas wishes and favorite things about the holiday season, including a gingerbread house, though he did inquire if “a gingerbread man gets scared when he realizes that the house is made of his own skin.” He also revealed his love of egg nog, sharing that it was his “favorite way to have egg.”
