Amazon.com Inc. AMZN founder and chairman Jeff Bezos has sold nearly 36 million shares of the company he set up 30 years ago, totaling over $6.15 billion. While it’s not known what Bezos’ end game is, social media users have some hilarious takes on the matter. What Happened: Bezos plans to sell 50 million Amazon shares over the span of 12 months, which could potentially net him $8.5 billion in total. He still has 14 million shares remaining, which could net him up to $2.4 billion. While Bezos is capitalizing on the Amazon stock surge, his net worth has risen to $194 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. This is after a surge of $16.7 billion in 2024 so far. He is now the second richest person in the world. Although neither Bezos nor Amazon have given a reason yet for the stake sale, social media users are having a field day with jokes and memes. “Jeff wants to buy a quick car and two mega mansions,” one user quipped. “Respond to his high school friend’s DM about an exciting new business opportunity based on network marketing.” One user joked Bezos wants to hang out with his competitor Elon Musk for a cards night. Another user quipped Bezos probably wants to buy back 100% shares in Amazon after the stock crashes, referring to former WeWork Inc. CEO Adam Neumann attempting to buy the company back after SoftBank wrote off its $14 billion investment. On a slightly serious note, one user asked what’s the reason behind Bezos selling billions of dollars worth of Amazon shares. There was a funny take on inflation, too. This wild scene unfolded Sunday night at the Laugh Factory here in Los Angeles — where Donnell went up to do a set … and Corey went on after him when we’re told he started hurling wild claims and barbs at Donnell and Dave Chappelle ‘s expense. Donnell tells TMZ he wasn’t going to let Corey torch his close friend — the two of them were on “Chappelle’s Show” together back in the day — so he confronted him over it. That argument is what you see here on video, obtained by TMZ, with Donnell going absolutely ballistic on Corey — whom you can hear calling DR “mild” and a lame funny man. You can also hear Corey questioning Donnell’s street cred … and Donnell was ready to defend himself and his rep — which he did from the audience level, right in front of everybody. Indeed, it must’ve been pretty surreal to see play out live. Now, Donnell claims another inflammatory comment that Corey made played into how angry he got — namely, Corey allegedly saying that anyone in comedy who has 3 movies or more under their belt has had to perform fellatio on someone in the biz. The reason Donnell says he got as fired up — in addition to feeling insulted and hearing his friends get insulted — is because he has 3 movies, and he insists he’s never done anything like that in his career. BTW, this beef between Donnell, Corey and Dave runs pretty deep — Corey recently did a podcast where he trashed DC … and suggested he simply wasn’t funny, let alone a legend. In terms of how this ended, Donnell tells us he ended up walking away from the situation before things escalated further. However, he says he’d still like to hash things out with Corey in a more calm setting and hopefully put their differences aside. We’ve reached out to Corey’s camp for comment … so far, no word back.

Vito Coppola has given a glimpse at the toll preparing for the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final is having on him as he shared his latest update on social media. The Italian dancer is training celebrity dance partner Ellie Leach for not one but two dances this weekend after they made it to the penultimate week of the competition. Former Coronation Street star Ellie and her professional dance partner Vito were seen back in the ballroom on Saturday night which wasn’t just the quarter-finals but also the Musicals week special. The actress and the Italian professional dancer performed a quickstep to the song Belle from Beauty And The Beast. But they weren’t competing for a place in this Saturday’s (December 9) semi-final as actor Nigel Harman’s sudden exit through injury meant there was no public vote and subsequent elimination so the remaining four couples automatically made it through with the judges’ scores carried over into the next live show. Taking to Instagram on Thursday morning (December 7), Vito appeared to be struggling to wake up as he travelled in the back of a car, presumably to get back to work. It comes after she mocked her dance partner for getting his grandmother to ‘cure’ his headache. Ellie took to Instagram to show the pair travelling by car. She captioned the post, featuring a video of her dance partner: “Here he is. Number one most dramatic person I’ve ever met.” In the clip, Vito was holding on to his head before it was confirmed he was nursing a headache. He suddenly said: “I have to call my grandmother,” before realising Ellie was filming him. She asked “why” to which he said: “I have to call my grandmother to cure my of my headache.” Ellie then shared another clip of Vito facetiming his beloved relative, alongside which she typed: “So glad you’re cured of your headache.” Then in the final clip, Vito said “I feel much better,” as Ellie started laughing. “I really felt ill before,” he added before Ellie said: “No, guys. He felt ill because we’ve just been for a walk outside and it’s cold outside. Now we’re in the car and it’s nice and warm, so he’s warmed up and feels better now.” But throughout her explanation, Vito disputed her claims and said: “No, I had a headache. It’s an Italian thing and if you have people like my grandmother… she cures you. She does all the praying and stuff that only she know and now I feel better.” Ellie did mock her to which he jokingly snapped: “You think this is a joke.
