AFL 2023: Mason Cox on his crazy journey to 100 games for Collingwood Magpies

August 14, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

“For me personally it was a good way of explaining what AFL is to a broader market, and then also being able to tell my story within it,” Cox says. “I’ve got a passion for growing the game internationally, and it’s going to take a bit of effort from my side, but also the AFL side and investment from them to see the benefit of it.”

He will share his milestone with Steele Sidebottom’s 300th, which he says “probably outdoes my little 100, to be honest”. But Cox’s moment of humility – unlike most Australians, he is happy to talk himself up – is probably wrong. Given Cox didn’t even know AFL existed until he was 23, you could argue the scale of his achievement even exceeds Sidebottom’s.

“It’s been a crazy journey,” he says. “It’s pretty unique, but it’s also pretty cool, in the same breath – to be able to say that you’re the only person to really have done something from the background that you come from. So that’s something I’ll definitely hold close to me.”

In the 60 Minutes interview, coach Craig McRae said Cox had a chip on his shoulder that drove him to prove others wrong. Cox is blunter, and funnier. Asked the best thing about being an AFL player, he quips: “I’m a bit of a competitive prick, so putting that energy out on an AFL field and beating the shit out of people is always nice.” He’s joking, but not by much.

And as much as he’s proving his many doubters wrong, Cox is proving McRae right. McRae was Collingwood’s head of development when he came to the club, and Cox thanks his coach for the time and effort he has invested in him, not just in developing his skills, but for making him feel at home.

When McRae returned to coach Collingwood, things were getting dark. “There was a lot of turmoil, as far as people getting sacked, and moved on, there was uncertainty about the future and a lot of question marks around the club in general,” Cox says. He was, he says, getting towards the back end of his career, and wondered if he, too, would be pushed out.

But Cox was retained, and under McRae, he is blossoming again. “I’ve always had that close connection with him over the years. He’s given so much to me at the beginning of my career, and helping me get to where I’m at now – the opportunity to be able to repay that faith was a major reason for me coming back to the club.”

And here’s the thing: at 32, in his ninth season of football, Cox is playing the most consistently influential football of his career. He doesn’t have to tear games apart, as he famously did against Richmond in the 2018 preliminary final. Playing as a ruckman who goes forward instead of the other way around, he could go for a few more years yet.

I’m an Olympian but posting sexy bikini pics on OnlyFans pays my bills – the money is crazy

August 13, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

CANADIAN athlete Alexandra Ianculescu is using OnlyFans to help her fulfil her dream of competing at both the winter and summer Olympic Games.

The 31-year-old was in action at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

The 31-year-old represented her country at the winter Games in 2018[/caption]

A last minute call-up for the speed skating team, Ianculescu came last after not being able to properly prepare.

Having transitioned to , she is hoping to again represent her country in Paris next year.

After committing to amateur Dutch team NWVG-Uplus, Ianculescu hasn’t been able to find time for her previous personal training job.

But a new venture into OnlyFans has seen her able to focus on her Games dream.

She told the Daily Star: “I made an OnlyFans account in 2021… It’s helping me survive, pay my rent, pay for groceries, and it covers the cycling and the coffee bills.

“Someone suggested, ‘Why don’t you just have an OnlyFans account and create like a behind-the-scenes of what you do? And since you post bikini photos anyway, you can actually charge for that’.

“I was like, ‘seriously, people pay for that?’

“Like, I like my body. I want to post it anyway… So I said, ‘I’ll give myself one month and see how it goes’. And it was crazy!”

On what happened during her previous Games experience, Ianculescu explained: “You can’t sharpen your knife last minute. So I had to make the best of it.”

“I got off the ice, and I started crying.

“I knew that it wasn’t the best I could do.”

Last November, Ianculescu explained her OnlyFans decision in detail on Instagram, while confirming that she would be using it daily moving forward.

She wrote: “Last summer I decided to start this account since I kept getting crazy amounts of ‘likes’ on bikini photos and people would suggest selling them on this platform.

“I thought it was the biggest joke and didn’t want to be seen as someone that was known for selling ‘bikini shots’, considering I worked so hard as athlete, worked hard to have an education, speak multiple languages and truly love the image of myself that I created and respected.

“With that being said, after making 💰💰💰 in my first month on there, it has totally changed my life for the better.

“I make less now as I have not been as active this summer, but I enjoy training full time now, affording trips to places I never dreamed on going to anytime soon, buying my dream bikes, saving for my dream car(s), and being able to enjoy it in a way where I don’t have to sacrifice my athletic life to work 3 part time jobs like I used to in the past, while pursuing Olympic Dreams.

“I used to care what people thought, but then I realised that their opinions don’t pay my bills, so I am going to continue owning it and using it to the max because I like how comfortable I have become in my own body, and how I learned to love myself in a different way.

“So…tomorrow (Dec 1) is my “AMA” on my OF. I’m back using it daily”.

»Det her er jo fuldstændigt crazy. Det er helt vildt«. USA har ufoer i sin varetægt, påstår central kilde

August 13, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

30 Times “Xavier” Shared Hilarious Posts On Social Media (New Pics)

August 13, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

You definitely don’t have to be a comedic genius to use social media. Plenty of us simply want to share cute photos of our pets and the elaborate dinners we’re proud of preparing. But if you want to rack up over 3 million followers on Facebook, you better be famous or hilarious.

One account which has managed to gain an impressive amount of followers through its funny and witty content is the beloved Xavier. A simple photo of a man with a mustache and countless clever remarks is apparently a recipe for success online. Below, you’ll find some of our favorite recent posts from Xavier, so enjoy scrolling through and be sure to upvote the ones that make you chuckle.

The Xavier pages are an extremely simple yet lovable concept. And because we’re such big fans of these accounts at Bored Panda, this isn’t the first time we’ve featured them. Lucky for us, we were previously able to get in touch with the team behind Xavier to hear more about how the account started and what it’s been like seeing it grow so large. Now that Xavier’s Facebook page has over 3.2 million followers, there have been plenty of copycat accounts popping up. But the creator doesn’t mind, as long as the accounts aren’t posting harmful or offensive content.

“I want my memes to be clean and simple, and I don’t want myself to be associated with someone who objectifies people on the basis of color, gender, and sexual preferences,” the founder shared. “When I created the page, I was expecting 50K followers in a month which is a very good figure in itself, but by the grace of God, the page reached around 350K followers in the first month itself. Everyone loved to see Xavier’s viewpoint on things.”

As an expert in creating a successful social media presence, the founder of Xavier also shared some of their top tips for anyone else looking to grow their following online. “I would like to give one piece of advice to everyone who wants to stand out on social media: just be real.”

“Don’t worry about likes or followers, just have a motive of bringing a positive change in the world and bringing joy to other people’s lives,” the creator continued. “Giving is all we are supposed to do.” And as far as technical advice, he says to “work on SMO [social media optimization], develop design skills, learn about psychology, etc.”

While the Xavier page has brought smiles to millions of people around the world, it actually began when the creator was disappointed after not being offered employment from their college. “One day I was sitting alone and thought of a character which would hit the hearts of millions of people, so I put all my thoughts into it and decided on ‘Xavier’—a middle-aged Indian man with a mustache, who you would least expect to say witty things, with whom people would empathize,” they previously shared with Bored Panda.

“So there I was, changed my name legally, got myself plastic surgery to look like my imagination,” the founder of Xavier joked to Bored Panda. They went on to share that the purpose of Xavier is more than fame or money (which they’re not getting any of anyway, they noted). Their goal is simply to bring smiles to people around the world. “I get many messages on how my memes make people happy, which is my biggest motivation to carry on despite being broke and put all my focus into bringing joy and happiness in their lives,” they shared.

The creator of Xavier also shared how grateful they are for their accounts having so much success. “I would like to thank Asif, who’s one of the kindest and sweetest people on the Earth,” they previously shared. “And thanks for believing in me always and helping me out with everything. One more mention I would like to make is ‘SkyWolf’ who is my own alter ego, who pushed me to be stronger and believe in myself.”

While catfishing on social media is generally frowned upon, in the case of Xavier, we’ll let it slide. He’s not harming anyone, just sharing funny replies and posts that everyone can enjoy. Perhaps we could all benefit from channeling our own inner Xaviers on social media. Rather than trying to edit photos and curate our lives to appear perfect and unattainable, we might want to embrace the messiness of our lives and share clever, silly responses to other people’s posts. We aren’t likely to gain as many followers as Xavier, but as long as we’re having fun, that’s all that matters!

One of the best things about Xavier’s content is that it’s not offensive. There’s so much negativity online, through the news and social media, that sometimes it’s refreshing to find hilarious content that’s not going to hurt anyone’s feelings. While he sometimes shares sarcastic jokes, Xavier is all about making people laugh. He doesn’t have to cross any lines to make funny jokes, he simply puts a fresh spin on memes or shares his hilarious takes on trends online. Nothing but good, wholesome laughs here!

If you’re a fan of Xavier’s Facebook page, be sure to check out @xavierkomedy on Instagram as well! There’s even a “We are Xavier” Facebook group dedicated to sharing hilarious memes and following Xavier’s wild adventures. So if you’d like to see more of the founder’s hilarious content than what’s simply shared on Facebook, this might be the perfect community for you to join. It’s full of laughs and good times, what’s not to love?

We hope you’re enjoying these hilarious posts and replies from Xavier, pandas. While he might not be a real person, the joy his comedy brings us certainly is real. Keep upvoting your favorite pics, and let us know in the comments below which Xavier replies you found most clever. We’ve all seen TV shows that start like this – just not as funny

August 12, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Comedian, actor and ‘Room Next Door man’ Michael Spicer has metaphorically bottled the essence of a certain genre of British TV show, and we defy the heads of programming to show us the lie.

“I’ve also been abroad doing lots of expensive things that you could never afford to do.”

YouTube users were all over it.

I’d absolutely watch a series of this. Needs more condescending interactions with locals, though. Can that be arranged?
Dr James Alsop

You “travel around again” so us poor plebs won’t have to. We thank you for your service.
HG82met

This is exactly why I don’t watch television anymore, instead I watch your videos showing me what I have not missed. Absolutely brilliant, and spot on.
Sandra Holmes

As a foreigner that has watched a lot of BBC: This is accurate.
ClothesCat

Michael Portillo has been really quiet ever since this came out.
Finn Lawrence-Knight

Michael (Spicer, not Portillo) posted the sketch on Twitter, where it’s had well over a million views in two days – not to mention a lot of very positive feedback.

This is characteristically brilliant stuff from Michael. Bit that really tickled me: “Tree”… https://t.co/xzYYWzsOpB

— Dan Howdle (@DanHowdle) March 12, 2023

Amusing. But I would most definitely watch this series if @MrMichaelSpicer were writing/presenting it. https://t.co/FvBEIQ1tiz

I’m here for how you said ‘tapestry’

— Katie Khan 🌙✨ (@katie_khan) March 11, 2023

Could you at least OCCASIONALLY post something shit so we don’t all feel inadequate. Much obliged.

— Jason (@NickMotown) March 12, 2023

This is so on-the-nose, it could be a pair of specs. Bravo. https://t.co/7p7ErWtzQd

— Prof Neil Martin (@ThatNeilMartin) March 11, 2023

Oh my god. ART https://t.co/yVd01eTvoO

— Dr. Sarah Parcak (@indyfromspace) March 11, 2023

This is another perfect thing from Michael Spicer. https://t.co/46NSmSeDKW

— Tea, Books, and Music (@rudetuesday) March 11, 2023

This sounds about right.

The absolute SHADE you’re throwing here… I love it.

After Antiques Roadshow on Sunday, is it?

— activist blob bee 🐝 (@soapachu) March 11, 2023

Yes and every hour, every day on a dozen channels for over twenty years too.
