New Jersey candidate for US Senate nailed with hilarious mockery after blaming earthquake on climate change April 05, 2024 Residents living in the northeast were shocked Friday when the region was struck by a sharp earthquake, but one congressional candidate faced swift mockery for blaming it on climate change. The earthquake registered about 4.8 on the Richter scale and shook parts of New Jersey and New York City. Many rushed to social media to express their bewilderment and post videos of the quake. While earthquakes in the region are rare, they are possible because of a major fault line named the Ramapo Fault that runs from the Appalachian mountains. Several fault lines run under New York City. Christina Amira Khalil is a candidate for the U.S. Senate for the Green Party, and she showed her keen understanding of science when she said on social media that the earthquake was due to the climate changing. “I experienced my first earthquake in NJ. We never get earthquakes,” said Khalil on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “The climate crisis is real. The weirdest experience ever,” she added. The odd claim garnered over 600k views in just a few hours. Ridicule Many on social media pounced on the opportunity to mock a politician making such an absurd claim. “Please explain the causal link that you think exists between the climate crisis and earthquakes,” read one response. “Can you show us on the doll where the climate crisis touched you?” replied Addison Smith of Newsmax. “This is the dumbest Tweet I think I have ever seen. Congratulations,” responded meteorologist Chris Martz. “Earthquakes have nothing to do with human-caused climate change. A gas that composes 0.04% of the Earth’s atmosphere doesn’t have any affect on the movement of fault lines. Go back to 3rd grade science.” “If you were looking for the dumbest person on the planet – this would be a great place to start,” replied comedian Brian Haner. She responds When someone informed Khalil about other earthquakes in New Jersey just this year, she claimed ignorance. “Never felt or knew about those. I felt this one. Same with many other NJ people,” she responded. Later, she mocked those who ridiculed her so ruthlessly on social media. “Pretty cool, I upset a lot of bots,” she posted. An online prediction platform places Khalil’s chances of winning the Senate seat at 13%. Here’s more about the earthquake: Like Blaze News? It’s a Prank: Local Takoyaki Store’s Tattoo Disaster on April Fools’ Day Was Scripted – When In Manila
It’s a prank! Apparently, the local takoyaki store’s April Fools’ Day tattoo disaster was scripted. Takoyaki store Taragis has finally admitted that their April Fools’ Day post that supposedly fooled a netizen to get its logo tattooed on their forehead for 100,000 pesos cash was elaborately planned. The “tattoo disaster” went viral on social media, and we can only conclude that their marketing strategy was a total success. In a recently uploaded video entitled “Taragis The Revelation,” the takoyaki store owner Carl Quion revealed their master plan. Quion said that the whole thing was planned since last year’s April Fools’ Day. “Kailangan ay makabuo ako ng ingay para mag-viral ang Taragis,” he recalled. ( “I need to make some noise to make Taragis go viral.” ) With this mission in mind, he asked a tattoo artist in August 2023 to help him find someone willing to get their forehead inked with his Takoyaki store’s logo. Surprisingly, the search didn’t take long. Later that day, 47-year-old former fishball vendor Ramil Albano took on the challenge. Aside from Albano’s forehead tattoo, the 100,000 pesos cash deal was real. Albano was willing to get his forehead tattooed for this amount of money, all for his son who has Down Syndrome. When Quion confirmed Albano’s decision, fearing he might regret it in the future, Albano said, “Okay lang—para sa anak ko.” Albano got Taragis’ logo tattooed on his forehead in March 2024. According to Quion, he even asked Albano to stay at home to prevent their plan from being spoiled. Watch the full story narrated by Quion on Taragis’ video below: In case you missed it, Taragis posted the “forehead tattoo challenge” on their Facebook page on April 1 as their April Fools’ Day joke. It caused outrage after a man (Albano) seemingly proceeded to fulfill the challenge and left a comment stating that he was awaiting the store’s response to claim the promised reward. The takoyaki store responded, clarifying they were not responsible for the situation. Nevertheless, the post garnered widespread attention, prompting donations for Ramil from various personalities and brands. On April 2, Taragis visited Ramil and presented him with the 100,000-peso reward in cash before their revelation days later that everything was staged. Strictly’s Vito Coppola says ‘you think it’s a joke’ in Ellie Leach ‘spat’
Strictly Come Dancing star Vito Coppola told Ellie Leach to ‘stop laughing’ at him as she gave a glimpse into their latest time together. The pair are currently preparing for their next stint in the ballroom as the BBC One dance contest reaches the semi-final stage. Former Coronation Street star Ellie and her professional dance partner Vito were seen back in the ballroom on Saturday night which wasn’t just the quarter-finals but also the Musicals week special. The actress and the Italian professional dancer performed a quickstep to the song Belle from Beauty And The Beast. The dance saw Ellie and Vito secure a score of 36 from the judges which at the end of the show left them in second place on the leaderboard behind Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin who scored the first perfect score of the 2023 series. Ellie and Vito are now set to perform Cha-Cha to the Bette Midler version of ‘Mambo Italiano’, and a Couples’ Choice dance to a Dua Lipa medley in the penultimate week of the compeittion with a week to go until the grand final on Saturday, December 16. But in between their rehearsals, Ellie took to Instagram to show the pair travelling in car. She captioned the pos, featuring a video of her dance partner: “Here he is. Number one most dramatic person I’ve ever met.” In the clip, Vito was holding on to his head before it was confirmed he was nursing a headache. He suddentl said: “I have to call my grandmother,” before relaising Ellie was filming him. The actress, know for playing Faye Windass in ITV’s Corrie, asked “why” to which he said: “I have to call my grandmother to cure my of my headache.” Ellie then shared another clip of Vito facetiming his beloved relative, alongside which she typed: “So glad you’re cured of your headache.” Then in the final clip, Vito said “I feel much better,” as Ellie started laughing. “I really felt ill before,” he added before Ellie said: “No, guys. He felt ill because we’ve just been for a walk outside and it’s cold outside. Now we’re in the car and it’s nice and warm, so he’s warmed up and feels better now.” But throughout her explanation, Vito disputed her claims and said: “No, I had a headache. It’s an Italian thing and if you have people like my grandmother… she cures you. She does all the praying and stuff that only she know and now I feel better.” Ellie did mock her to which he jokingly snapped: “You think this is a joke. This is actually a real thing… It’s a south Italian thing. So thank you, Nonna.” Vito then doubled down when he reshared the video to his own Instagram Story and typed: “You think I am joking but it’s true…I actually feel much better. Grazie Nonna.”
January 6th Footage Shows Protestors Peacefully Entering, Leaving and Making Police Smile (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit | by Anthony Scott
As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, House Speaker Mike Johnson released the first batch of January 6th footage that is accessible to the general public on the Committee on House Administration website. Johnson, in a post on X, shared, “To restore America’s trust and faith in their Government, we must have transparency. This is another step towards keeping the promises I made when I was elected to be your Speaker.” He continued to write, “This website will be updated continuously with thousands of hours of footage.” As of right now, Rep. Johnson has released over 90 videos that range anywhere between 20 seconds to 10 minutes long. Most of the footage shows protestors peacefully walking into the Capitol.
