“It’s not news that the media is particularly (and unwarrantedly) cruel to Taylor Swift but the way men feel entitled to speak about women, their bodies, and their sex lives needs to be seriously evaluated,” Zegler wrote on Twitter/X in response to a video from a Barstool Sports podcaster requesting a “sex tape” between Swift and Kelce. “If Taylor Swift is going to be taking over our Sunday’s I’m going to need to see a sex tape. These are my demands,” the male podcaster wrote along with a video snippet of the episode. (His full quote in the episode: “If Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift release a sex video, I’ll consummate this relationship and be like, ‘Fine. You guys can have sex, you can be boyfriend/girlfriend. I don’t buy it… until that happens, I think it’s fake, I think it’s for clicks, and I think Taylor Swift is using the NFL to try to make her star bigger.”)

In two follow-up tweets, Zegler doubled down on her advocacy for Swift, writing “Leave Taylor Swift alone!” and “Seeing a lot of ‘it’s a joke’ but you’ve got to understand that since the beginning of time ‘you can’t take a joke’ has been synonymous with ‘let me say a horrible thing about women without suffering the consequences’ — we’re sick and tired! it’s never been funny! get a life!”

Zegler is a noted Swiftie who frequently shares her admiration for the musician, and she, too, has been subject to online attacks and trolling, particularly for her forthcoming titular role in Disney’s Snow White. Earlier this year, Zegler also came to the defense of Halle Bailey when racist Twitter trolls claimed a Black actor shouldn’t play Princess Ariel. “If you don’t support my girl Halle, who is the perfect Ariel, you don’t support any of us,” she wrote at the time.

Rachel Zegler isn’t the only one who thinks the media attention around Swift and Kelce’s relationship is getting out of hand. Travis Kelce himself recently spoke out against the NFL’s fascination with Swift and other celebrities during games. In a new episode of his podcast New Heights, Kelce’s brother Jason asked him how he feels about the NFL’s constant focus on Swift, including frequent shots of her cheering and Swift-themed content across social media and from pundits. “I think everybody is just, like, overwhelmed,” Kelce answered. “I think it brings a little more to the atmosphere, it brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time, I think…”

“They’re overdoing it,” finished Jason.

“They’re overdoing it a little bit, for sure,” Kelce agreed. “Especially my situation.”

Each time Samantha Hart starts a new job, she braces herself for an uncomfortable conversation with human resources.

“My name is Samantha Hart,” the 27-year-old began a recent TikTok video. “Most companies use the email designation of first initial, last name, meaning my email would be shart.”

Hart, who lives in Virginia and works in communications, went on to share that her last two employers reached out a week before her start date once they noticed.

“My name does not exactly fit the company email structure as they would intend, and would I mind if they gave me a different structure for my email,” Hart said.

Would she mind? Just the opposite!

“I don’t want an email that says shart — fix it, give me something else,” Hart said, with a laugh.

Plenty of people commiserated with Hart in the comments and shared their own stories of unfortunate email monikers.

“clittmann has entered the chat. Have been dealing with this since college,” one person wrote in the comments. 

Added another, “We had an S lutz at one company.”

“I’m living for the comments,” Hart tells TODAY.com. “It’s nice to know I’m not alone in this.”

Hart recalls how her parents got her a vanity license plate for her first car. At the time, they didn’t know the meaning of shart — and neither did Hart.

“I rolled up to school and everybody made fun of me,” she says. “My car became known as the ‘Shartmobile.’ And that was the first time I understood my name was going to be a problem.”

It won’t be a problem for much longer. Hart is getting married soon and she will be taking her husband’s last name. 

“I’ll never have to have another awkward conversation with HR!” she exclaims.

In 2020, Amy Schumer announced that she and her husband, Chris Fischer, were changing their then 11-month-old son’s name to Gene David Fischer. The little boy was previously known as Gene Attell.

“We realized that we by accident named our son ‘genital,’” Schumer said on her podcast “3 Girls, 1 Keith.”

Hart hopes her story will serve as a warning for moms and dads when they’re choosing baby names.

“Think about what their email address might be,” she says. “And monograms, too!”

No matter the final score, triumph or tragedy is something the quarterback must carry — despite how they played. And since that’s the way things work, Cleveland Browns third-string quarterback PJ Walker gets the praise for the team’s surprising win over the NFL’s best team, the San Francisco 49ers. But the game wasn’t just an example of how any team can lose on any given Sunday, it was proof that the Browns decision to give Deshaun Watson a guaranteed $230 million contract is one of the most head-scratching deals in sports history.

Crazy things happen in football weekly because football is a crazy sport. However, the difference between the amount of money Walker and Watson make may be the craziest thing about what happened between the 49ers and the Browns.

According to Spotrac, Walker is making $289,800 this season in Cleveland — as he was just on the practice squad a few days ago. And while comparison is the thief of joy, in this situation, it’s also a great example of how a capitalistic society works. To most Americans, Walker has a great salary. But when you compare it to Watson’s it makes Walker look broke.

Due to the Browns restructuring Watson’s deal earlier this year — as it freed up almost $36 million in cap space for this season — he’s on pace to take home almost $19 more than Walker. Check this out from Spotrac:

Yes, the Browns are on the hook to pay Watson more than $60 million in 2024, 20025 and 2026 when we don’t know if he’ll be back to himself after this shoulder injury, on top of the fact that he hasn’t been “back to himself” since he’s worn a Browns jersey.
