Wacky Wednesday: Alia & Kareena have the hilarious reply to Karan`s question

In the very social media-savvy world that we live in, celebrities often catch our attention and more often than not, become fodder to viral content. In today’s Wacky Wednesday, we found a video of Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt snatching the limelight during a conversation with Karan Johar. It was a tough competition between the two and even KJo would agree that they just didn’t get it.

When he asked the ladies to name underrated films, Alia clearly missed the point and refused to rate films because she thought it wasn’t very nice of them to do so. Karan tried to explain, mind you, until she finally figured that it’s underrated films he was talking about and not to rate any. 

While Alia was then quick enough to name the Sridevi starrer `Lamhe`, Kareena still refused to, and hesitantly, asked Alia to help her out. KJo being KJo, told her this is not a buffet where she’s asking for a suggestion from her but an opinion where she needs to name a film she feels is underrated. The painful conversation ended with Kareena saying she can’t think of anything as such. Well, our sympathies to Karan!

The video did go viral and Alia’s worry about being trolled, eventually came true because they walked right into it.

On the work front, Alia is gearing up for the release of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ with Ranveer Singh. The trailer was met with mixed reactions and the songs so far, have gotten quite a positive response. This is their second collaboration post ‘Gully Boy’. This film tells the story of a loud and enthusiastic Punjabi Munda Rocky and a cute Bengali girl Rani. Through this film, Karan Johar will make a comeback as a director after 7 years of hiatus. This film also stars Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra in pivotal roles.

Kareena, meanwhile, has a bunch of films coming up, including a film with Hansal Mehta, one for Netflix with Sujoy Ghosh co-starring Jaydeep Ahlawat and Vijay Verma, and a multi-starrer ‘The Crew’. Kareena was last seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ alongside Aamir Khan.

Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson were astounded by the ripped physique of Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson on the player’s return for pre-season.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were in high spirits as the squad reconvened after their summer holidays to begin preparation for the 2023-24 season.

And it was the work done in the off season by Henderson that caught the eyes of Robertson and Salah, himself known for his sculpted abdominals.

In a video uploaded by the club, the Egyptian can be heard excitedly saying: ‘Can you see this? My God.’ In reference to the 33-year-old who had stripped down to begin physical assessments at Kirkby.

‘Wow, what a body,’ Robertson exclaimed to the Reds skipper who looked both flattered and embarrassed at the same time.

First day of pre-season also saw the introduction of new arrivals Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, who met their new team-mates for the first time.

All at the AXA Training Centre appeared to be delighted to return for the upcoming season that starts with a mouth-watering away trip to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea on August 13.

Before that the Reds will contest five friendly games, starting with fixtures against German second division sides Karlsruher SC and Greuther Furth on July 19 and July 24.

They then face off against Leicester City at the end of the month before their biggest clash against Bayern Munich on August 2.

Klopp’s side finish their pre-season with a tie against SV Darmstadt a week later as they bid to improve on their disappointing 2022-23 campaign.

Jock Zonfrillo’s widow shares bittersweet moment with son: ‘Put a smile on his face’ | 7NEWS

The widow of late MasterChef star Jock Zonfrillo has shared a bittersweet post about their young son Alfie.

Jock died in the early hours of May 1 after being found unresponsive in a Melbourne hotel room, just hours before the show’s new season was due to go to air.

Since his death, Jock’s wife Lauren has kept his Instagram account open in order to share memories of him with his fans and provide updates on how her family is coping.

In her latest post, she wrote that Alfie had asked her to do some of the things he had traditionally enjoyed doing with his Dad.

“Alfie has asked me to do some of his Papa activities with him – making crepes and doing hours of Lego were in his requests,” she wrote.

“I went with the easiest option of a trip to the barber, which the boys used to do together, followed by gelato.

“It put a smile on his face, which was beautiful.”

She shared a series of pictures of Alfie getting his hair cut, smiling as he showed off the end result, and enjoying his gelato.

The sweet post prompted an outpouring of love and support from followers.

“Oh bless him,” one follower wrote.

“I hope somewhere in all of this … that you are able to find a moment for you.

“Take care.”

“Lovely to see him smiling,” another wrote simply.

“Sweet boy!” wrote one follower.

“Such a beautiful smile.

“So beautiful that you are keeping the memories he shared with his Papa fresh in his mind.”

“The smile on that face says it all really,” said one.

“Good job Mamma.”

“Beautiful! What a sweet moment,” observed another.

“So nice to see that big smile!

“So happy this was the first thing to pop up on my Insta feed.”

Apart from son Alfie, the couple have a daughter, Isla, together.

Jock also has two adult children, Ava and Sophia, from previous marriages.

Lauren said she had deliberated about whether to keep his social media account going, but decided it was an important way to keep his memory alive.

Her previous post was shared on the seventh anniversary of the day Jock proposed.

“This week seven years ago, up in the Scottish Highlands, Jock asked me to marry him,” she wrote on June 29.

“He took me on a 4WD adventure from Loch Lomond, up some hectic winding roads, to the top of a windy mountain.

“Down on one knee he asked that we give our future children the opportunity to love and enjoy Scotland as we did, he also proclaimed that he loved me more than Tunnocks Caramel Logs (which is a lot!)“

That post prompted a plethora of comments thanking Lauren for sharing memories of the man she knew and loved with his fans.

“I’m so sorry for your loss, and I completely admire how you are keeping Jock’s memory going, and sharing these beautiful moments with us all,” one follower wrote.

“Sending ❤️ and thinking of you and the children.”
