Tiger Woods goes viral for all the wrong reasons after tampon ‘prank’

February 20, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

LOS ANGELES — Tiger Woods had some explaining to do Friday, about a putter so cold it left him on the verge of missing the cut, and about a chauvinist prank he played on Justin Thomas in the Genesis Invitational.

In his return to elite competition for the first time in seven months, Woods caused quite a buzz in the opening round for all the wrong reasons.

It started when he ripped a 323-yard drive, some 10 yards longer than the 29-year-old Thomas. Walking off the tee, Woods discreetly put something in Thomas’ hand, which Thomas tossed to the ground when he realized what it was — a tampon, to remind Thomas that Woods hit it farther. Woods laughed and put his arm around Thomas.

Social media came to life when the moment was posted. On Friday, one fan shouted, “Tampon!” at Woods after he made a rare putt.

Woods apologized after his bogey-bogey finish for a 74 in the second round, which left him over the projected cut line.

“It was supposed to be all fun and games and obviously it hasn’t turned out that way,” Woods said. ”If I offended anybody in any way, shape or form, I’m sorry. It was not intended to be that way. It was just we play pranks on one another all the time and virally I think this did not come across that way.”

Outside of swearing following bad shots, Woods rarely brings this kind of attention to himself inside the ropes.

The golf wasn’t much better, either.

He missed birdie chances early and par chances late, and the finish was a polar opposite from his opening round when he closed with three straight birdies for a 69.

Woods came within inches of an ace on the par-3 14th, his fifth hole of the round, but he missed a 5-foot birdie chance two holes later.

“I did not putt well today,” Woods said. “I blocked a lot of putts early, and this is probably the highest score I could have shot today. Probably should have shot probably five or six better than this easily. Just didn’t make the putts early and the middle part of the round when I had those opportunities. And they weren’t very hard putts.”

He still was 2 under for the tournament, even for his round, when he came up short of his target on the par-3 sixth hole, the famous green with a bunker in the middle. The ball rolled down the edge to the front of the green, and the pin was cut to the top left.

Arms crossed and a lob wedge in his hands, he studied multiple options. He could have pitched it to the back of the green and up the slope and let it run back toward the hole.

“If I chipped it up on top, there’s a chance that it could actually come back to the front part of the green,” Woods said, adding that’s what happened when he tried it Wednesday during the pro-am.

He changed to the putter to rip up the slope, left of the pin to leave himself about 10 feet away for a chance at par. One problem.

“The hill caught it more than I thought it would,” he said.

It took speed off the ball and it turned right, down the edge of the bunker and into the sand. He blasted out to 5 feet and made a fast putt with enough break that he had to start it outside the cup.

That was the start of a bad finish. On the eighth, his tee shot found a bunker and he caught it heavy, hit his third over the green and did well to putt from the first cut of turf to tap-in range for bogey.

On his final hole at No. 9, he came up short and plugged into the bunker. All he could do with a front pin was blasted out through the green, and his par putt caught the lip. Another bogey left him at 1-over 143, outside the top 65 when he signed his card, and 10 shots behind the early lead posted by Keith Mitchell.

“I had two bad calls on the wind on 6 and 9 and end up costing me two shots there,” Woods said.

He would have to wait until the second round ended to see if it was enough to make it to the weekend at the tournament he hosts.

19 Funny Engagement Photos to Make You Laugh Out Loud

February 20, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Who says you can’t take funny engagement photos? Don’t get us wrong, we’re all for classic engagement shots, but the super-serious, lovey-dovey vibe isn’t for everyone. That said, we encourage you to take a few traditional, romantic photos too—they might even end up being your favorite. So if purposely posing awkwardly, cheesy or in a funny manner for your engagement photo shoot sounds more your speed, we have advice on how to accomplish that. Read below for expert tips from engagement and wedding photographers about where to take your photos, what to wear and what props to use. Plus, check out 19 images from real couples of their silly engagement photos that are guaranteed to make you smile or laugh out loud.

Where to Take Funny Engagement Photos

We encourage you and your partner to get as creative as possible for your engagement photos. Kariss Farris, expert photographer and owner of Pharris Photography and Films, thinks one of the things a funny engagement photo shoot relies on is a unique location. “Think outside of the box and experiment with a studio with fun color and background options. Take advantage of cool things in the city, such as graffiti walls, monuments and rooftops.” Consider doing your photo shoot in places significant to your relationship too, like where you had your first date. Farris has seen couples take their funny engagement photos at restaurants, movie theaters, stadiums of their favorite sports team and museums. The options are endless for couples who want unconventional engagement photos.

Funny Engagement Photo Attire Considerations

If you don’t want to only rely on silly props and poses for your funny engagement announcement photos, think about what amusing attire you can wear. For seasonal outfit ideas, wear a flower and bee costume for a spring photo shoot, colorful swimsuits for the summer, pumpkin suits for the fall or a conjoined ugly Christmas sweater if you’re taking photos during the winter season. You can also base your cheesy engagement photos on a theme, like ’90s hip hop, “Game of Thrones” or football.

Photographer’s Tips for Funny Engagement Photos

What better person to get funny engagement photo tips from than a photographer? Read below to learn the top three things photographers think you should know before your photo shoot.

Hire a photographer you’re comfortable with.

You and your partner being free to express yourselves how you want during your funny engagement photos depends on your photographer. Because of this, wedding expert Sarah Olson of CityLux Studios thinks it’s important couples hire a photographer that you feel genuinely comfortable with. “If you don’t feel comfortable with your photographer, it will be tough to take normal pictures, never mind silly ones. Silly photos require a bit more vulnerability, so being comfortable with your photographer is extremely important.” Find a top-rated engagement photographer you love on The Knot Marketplace.

Incorporate things you and your partner enjoy.

Your funny or awkward engagement photos should reflect you and your partner in a way no one else can replicate. “Go take some photos at your favorite bar, play a sport you both enjoy or, if you’re foodies, grab something fun to eat! Don’t worry; you don’t have to devour pizza and cannolis for the entire engagement session. You’ll be able to snap some ‘normal’ engagement photos, too. If you want to have fun but aren’t sure how just ask your photographer. They will gladly help you think of some ideas,” Olson says. Remember, your engagement photo session doesn’t have to be boring and don’t be afraid to have fun with it.

Bring funny props and do silly poses.

One of the best parts of taking funny engagement photos is that you can use props and pose in silly ways. Jen Sulak, lead wedding photographer of Weirdo Weddings, offers some ideas you can try at your session. “If you are into anything nerdy at all, you know how to have fun with props and poses. My clientele runs through cosplay, LARPing and other forms of play that bring out many inside jokes, motions and silly faces. Wear that matching sports jacket, make that silly face and make your own secret handshake and symbols.” Just think about things that make you and your partner laugh so that joy and candidness can be caught on camera and made into amazing photos.

Funny Engagement Photo Ideas

Ready to get some inspiration for your funny engagement photos? Then check our roundup of silly, cheesy and awkward engagement photos from real couples.

Share your favorite food during your silly engagement shoot. For this couple, it happened to be doughnuts, but feel free to get a little messy. We love the idea of recreating the spaghetti scene from “Lady and the Tramp.”

Cozy At-Home Engagement Photo

Do something simple that you both love, like cuddling on the couch. You don’t have to leave your house, and you’ll be in the most comfortable position––just try not to fall asleep.

Couple Laughing Together During Park Engagement Photos

Let the world be your playground when you’re thinking about where to take your photos. This couple went to their local park and used a tree as a sitting area instead of a park bench.

Gothic Engagement Photo With Silly Pose

You can never go wrong with a funny engagement photo pose. This silly gothic couple posed with a white pumpkin for their fall photo shoot.

Couple Doing Funny Engagement Photo Pose as Joke

Professional awkward couple photos are very popular and an easy way to make almost anyone who sees them laugh. This couple did a classic ’80s prom pose while gazing off into the distance.

Marvel-Loving Couple Taking Comic Book Engagement Photos

Put on your super suit and show your love for your favorite comics by wearing superhero-themed shirts or full-on costumes. This happy couple pulled out a Spider-Man comic book and wore Avengers gear for their photo session.

Fun Basketball Engagement Photo

Get active as this couple did during their basketball engagement photos. If basketball isn’t your thing, try playing tennis, football or soccer. And don’t forget to wear sports attire, like tennis skirts and cleats, if it will fit the whole vibe.

Couple in Novelty Disguises for Silly Engagement Photo

Take the seriousness (or nervousness) out of the photo-taking process and use props. You can use fun props for a couple of silly photos and then set them to the side to take more conventional engagement photos.

Couple Sharing Cannolis Together

Go to your favorite pastry spot for your funny engagement announcement photos. The pastry shop works as a cool background for this couple’s sweet treat exchange.

Couple Posing Elegantly for Park Engagement Photos

Pose like royals during your engagement photo session. You can do this among nature, as this couple did, or try an interactive museum with the right environment and props.

Couple Making Silly Faces During Engagement Photo Session

If the perfect way to make your partner loosen up and laugh is you making silly faces at them, go for it. Your engagement photographer may find some great candid shots you’ll love.

Couple Holding Their Favorite Food

Grab lunch at your favorite restaurant before the photo shoot, then save some leftovers so you can rep them in your photos. This couple got a margherita pizza from their go-to pizza shop.

Funny Art Museum Engagement Photo

If you don’t want to buy props, interact with your surroundings. This is the perfect opportunity to play with scale and angles, and create different optical illusions.

Couple Playing During Ocean Engagement Photos

Planning on doing your engagement photo session by a body of water? Then splash around and get fun dynamic shots of you and your partner. We suggest doing this at the end of the session since you’ll mess up any hairstyle, makeup or clothes you may be wearing. (And don’t forget to bring dry clothes to change into.)

Funny Central Park Engagement Photo

Clearly, parks are a very popular funny engagement shoot location. With beautiful nature, playgrounds and art installations, there’s plenty of opportunity to be creative.

Candid Engagement Photo of Couple Laughing

We love an off-guard laughing photo. Once you’re comfortable in front of the camera with your significant other candid laughing shots are easy to come by.

Couple Acting Like Explorers During Adventure Engagement Photos

Explore the great outdoors with your partner. If you have a pet that loves going outside, this funny engagement photo idea is a perfect way to incorporate your furry best friend.

Sunglasses as Funny Engagement Photo Props

Show off your sassy and cool side, and use sunglasses as fun photo props. Sunglasses are great because almost everyone has some in their car or house, they are stylish and help block out bright rays if you’re taking photos on a sunny day.

Couple Pretending to Break a Giant Wishbone

Taking your engagement photos during the fall season? Then incorporate this unique Thanksgiving wishbone tradition in your shoot. The custom is that two people pull apart a wishbone while making a wish, and whoever snags the biggest piece gets their wish granted. This couple was lucky enough to find a large old tree that looks like a wishbone, so go on a scavenger hunt at your local parks to see what you can find.

Woman shares hilarious plane story about how she saved a stranger from unfair seat swap | Daily Mail Online

February 19, 2023 by humorouz Leave a Comment

The raging debate over plane etiquette has a new participant, this time in the form of a quick-thinking passenger, who has captivated the internet by revealing how she saved another traveler from an unfair seat swap request.

Seattle-based TikTok creator @not.christinayang shared the experience on a ‘four or five-hour’ flight from Hawaii to Seattle in a recent video, which has been seen more than 2.5 million times.

According to the traveler, she was sitting in premium economy in a three-seat row when someone asked the woman who was sitting next to her to swap seats so she could sit next to her friend.

‘I’m sitting in the window seat and right next to me in the middle seat is a little Asian woman. I think she’s Japanese,’ she recalled.

A plane passenger has detailed the moment she saved another traveler from an unfair seat swap

The TikTok creator and Seattle mom, who is known online as @not.christinayang , shared the experience on a ‘four or five-hour’ flight from Hawaii to Seattle

‘She was really soft spoken and on the aisle seat there was another person.’

During the flight, the creator says that the aisle-seat passenger asks the middle-seat occupant to switch seats.

‘So the aisle seat person is traveling with another woman and her companion says, “I wanna sit next to my friend,”’ she explained.

‘And she looks at the Asian lady next to me… she says, “Let’s switch seats, I’m back in 26.”

‘Mind you we’re in premium economy. We’re like in row eight with all the unlimited drinks and snacks. So the lady next to me is like, “Oh you know we switch seats? Um, OK, right.”

‘And so she starts getting up and I’m like, “No!”’

According to the TikToker, her defiant insistence that her seat mate remain in her original place on the plane prompted the eager seat swap requester to offer up a reason for why she should want to move.

‘And so the lady is like, “Oh, but it’s a window seat, it’s so much better than a middle that she has,”‘ she recalled.

‘I was like, “Except for the fact that we are traveling together. Hello? We’re both Asian, of course, we know each other. And 26 is not premium economy… it’s like you can smell the toilet back there. No!”

‘So the little Asian lady next to me is like half like standing up and… she looks over at me and I go, “Sit down, Connie!”

‘Okay, I don’t know what her name is, I just called her Connie for some reason and she sat down. I guess I was meaner than the other lady.’

The creator said this incident happened while she was sitting in premium economy, when ‘you’d get like unlimited drinks and snacks’

The creator then continues, saying the ‘lady in 26’ is ‘kind of mad’ that she won’t be able to sit next to her friend.

Would YOU save another passenger from a seat swap request?

Now share your opinion

‘She was like, “No, you guys aren’t traveling together, you just made that up,”’ she said.

‘And I look over at the Asian lady next to me and I start speaking to her in Cantonese, which is totally the wrong language for her, but this lady [in 26] is not Asian, so she’s not gonna know the difference.

‘The Asian lady looks at me and she’s like yeah, and then she responds to me in Japanese. And I’m like, “Mmhmm, that’s right.”

‘I look up at the lady who’s still standing there and I go, “Well we’re gonna continue to talk about you in our language. So why don’t you go back to row 26, where you belong, OK? Because if you wanted to sit next to your friend you should have booked a ticket next to her, not 20 rows behind.”’

The TikTok video has attracted thousands of comments, with some slamming the passenger who wanted the seat swap and others finding humor in the scenario.

‘”Let’s switch.” Not even, “Would you mind switching with me?” Some ppl are so entitled,’ one person said.

A mother has revealed the ‘right way’ to ask a fellow plane passenger to switch seats – amid the ongoing furious debate over airplane etiquette

‘Or her friend could have moved back to sit with her. You don’t ask someone to downgrade for your convenience,’ another added.

A third person wrote: ‘I’m sure someone from row 26 would have taken the free upgrade if it was that important.’

‘You’re a hero,’ someone else simply put.

‘Connie understood the assignment,’ a TikTok user said.

‘May your coffee always be hot, green lights on your drives, and close parking spots in the parking lot,’ another wrote.

This recent video is the latest in a long line of incidents that have sparked debate online about airplane etiquette.

In November, a mother has revealed the ‘right way’ to ask a fellow plane passenger to switch seats.

Previously, a man went viral on Reddit after he revealed that he had refused to give up his extra-legroom chair on a 10-hour flight to a mother who wanted to swap so that she and her young son could sit next to her husband.

Mom-of-two Anna Lyn Cook said on TikTok that she thought her family would have to split up on their recent KLM flight – because there weren’t four seats next to each other available

Upon entering the aircraft, she said she decided to approach someone who was sitting in the seat next to her family members and ask him if he’d be willing to take her seat instead

His actions launched a major argument about whether he was wrong for not making the change, and TikToker Anna Lyn Cook revealed that she was put into a similar situation, but insisted she had discovered the proper way to ask someone to shift seats.

Mom-of-two Anna, who is based in the US, explained in a recent video posted to TikTok that she thought her family would have to split up on their recent KLM flight – because there weren’t four seats next to each other available when she went to pick them.

However, upon entering the aircraft, she decided to approach someone who was sitting in the seat next to her family members and ask him if he’d be willing to take her seat instead.

Anna explained that her seat was ‘much better’ than his since it had ‘lots more legroom,’ adding that she would ‘never ask anyone to switch unless she could offer them a better option.’

She described the seat she wanted as ‘pretty tight,’ while she said hers was a lot more spacious.

A Reddit user named Emily Kauai left many people on the web divided after she shared a photo of herself completely squished in her seat because the man sitting next to her spread his legs

The mom added that the stranger appeared to be unhappy that he had to sit next to her two young children, so he was more than happy to make the switch with her.

Days after this video became a talking point, the debate was taken to a new level after an irate passenger launched a new discussion about whether or not it’s OK to spread out on a flight.

A Reddit user named Emily Kauai, from Florida, left many people on the web divided after she shared a photo of herself completely squished in her seat because the man sitting next to her had opened up his legs so wide that they spilled into her area.

In the picture, which was posted to the app earlier this month under the thread Well That Sucks, the unidentified man could be seen sitting with his limbs spread apart on a recent Southwest Airlines flight.

His left leg went far beyond his seat space and into Emily’s, leaving her to sit with her legs pressed close together – and her post sparked a huge argument about whether or not his actions were acceptable.

‘This was how my entire four hour flight went today,’ she captioned the post. ‘I am a five-foot-eight-inch female.’
