‘An Inch Matters’: Dana Perino Shocks Cohosts With Off-Color Joke During Live Broadcast

November 29, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Fox News anchor Dana Perino caught her cohosts by surprise when she let an off-color joke slip out during a live broadcast.

Perino, who is typically more reserved than her cohosts on the network’s drive-time panel show “The Five,” made a joke during Monday’s broadcast about President Joe Biden’s recent claim that inflation had only risen “an inch” in recent weeks.

Cohost Greg Gutfeld responded to Biden’s comments first, saying that he meant to take a moment to defend the president.

“You know, I’ve got to take this moment to defend him, especially on the inflation piece,” Gutfeld said. “When he said inflation is up just an inch, he was probably referring to a chart. Right? Oh, look, that’s just an inch. That’s just an inch.”

“Maybe,” Perino replied.

“I think you’re right,” cohost Jesse Watters added.

“I thought that was a brilliant joke, but screw all of you. I’m always overwhelmed when Biden talks, because it’s like — it’s like the Netflix menu, so many options, and they all suck,” Gutfeld continued. “He basically said that Trump was divisive. He saw the pandemic was over. There was no inflation. We forgot that if the pandemic is over — I mean we did mention this — that means what he did with the loan forgiveness was what we thought it was: it was a trillion dollar bribe to his voters, that you and me, truck drivers, everyone else who’s making a living, has to pay for.”

“All of this stuff is exhausting,” Gutfeld kept on going. “It gives you so much material to work from it’s almost brilliant, but do we get any clarity on anything, right? Or do we just listen to an interview with some guy, whose kind of along for the ride, who’s got some opinions about the pandemic and Taiwan, and casually just throws them out there, and you have to come out and clean up after him, because no, we’re not going to go to war over Taiwan because we have this thing called strategic ambivalence.”

“He’s not really president. He’s not even present,” Gutfeld concluded, arguing that Biden had essentially been sent out to do an interview but he hadn’t truly been the one calling the shots.

“More to come on all of this, because it’s just an inch,” Perino cut in, changing her tone slightly as she added, “You know, an inch matters.”

Perino turned toward the camera then, as her cohosts groaned and laughed.

Viral Floating ‘Stranger Things’ Halloween Display Will Stay Up Despite ‘Crazy’ Neighbor’s Complaint

November 28, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

It’s perfectly fine for everyone not to be down with the spooky Halloween season.

Unfortunately, holiday haters sometimes go to extra lengths to display their holiday disdain and try to ruin the fun for everyone around them.

Plainfield, Illinois couple Dave and Aubrey Appel—who are behind the Instragram account @—went all out with a Stranger Things inspired display that recently went viral on Instagram and TikTok.

The elaborate, gravity defying display recreated the scene when the character Max is lifted into the air by the evil Vecna.

But neighbors apparently started to complain about the traffic from curious onlookers.

A formal complaint read:

“Dwayne English, spokesperson for the Joliet Police Department, said officers did respond to a complaint about increased traffic due to the display about 9 p.m. Sunday.”

“‘Officers spoke to the owners of the display who indicated that they would take it down if problems persisted,” English said in a written statement.'”

‘No further enforcement action was taken or needed.'”

But the next day, the Appels posted some good news on Instagram:

Backed by the support of the public, community leaders, and even law enforcement, it was decided that the Max display could stay up after all.

As a compromise, the display will only be lit up on the weekends for fans of the hit Netflix show to come by and take pictures.

The couple also shared clips of their display to their TikTok @horrorprops.

People were thrilled the floating Max got to stay.

Donald Trump launched a furious attack on ‘broken down hack’ Mitch McConnell and his ‘crazy wife’ in bust-up over GOP Senate candidates

 • Trump lashed out at McConnell after he said the GOP might struggle to flip the Senate.
 • Trump said McConnell was a “broken down hack politician” who should support GOP Senate hopefuls.
 • The former president said McConnell should spend less time “helping his crazy wife and family get rich on China.”

Former President Donald Trump has launched a furious attack on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in a dispute over the GOP Senate mid-term campaign.

Trump said the senior senator from Kentucky should spend more time and money helping Republican Senate candidates get elected and “less time helping his crazy wife and family get rich on China.”

“Why do Republicans Senators allow a broken down hack politician, Mitch McConnell, to openly disparage hard working Republican candidates for the United States Senate,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

McConnell has drawn ire from Trump after he said that Republicans will face a tough task in flipping the Senate majority, citing “candidate quality.”

Recent polling has shown that GOP nominees in the nation’s most closely contested states are struggling to keep up.

This includes Trump-backed candidates Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania, JD Vance in Ohio, and Herschel Walker in Georgia.

Trump and McConnell, who were once firm allies, have been publicly feuding since Trump’s 2020 election loss.

McConnell angered Trump after appearing to accept Joe Biden’s victory and condemning the former president for being “practically and morally responsible” for the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that McConnell’s comments about GOP Senate candidates were “an affront to honor and to leadership.”

The former president also made a disparaging comment about McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, who served as Trump’s Transportation Secretary and was one of the first Cabinet officials to resign after the Capitol riot. She is reported to have spoken to the House January 6 panel earlier this month.

Trump has previously drawn attention to Chao’s business ties to China.

Chao’s family owns a shipping company that transports material to and from China, and a government watchdog has previously alleged that she used her office’s staff and resources to support the business.

Despite their fraught relationship, McConnell has said he would still support Trump as the party’s 2024 nominee.

Stephen King Just Used A Groanworthy Dad Joke To Blast Elon Musk In Iconic Fashion

November 27, 2022 by humorouz Leave a Comment

Horror icon Stephen King became the latest celebrity to mock billionaire Elon Musk following his move to reinstate former Republican President Donald Trump to Twitter.

Conservatives had for months called for Musk to reinstate Trump to the platform, which meant lifting a ban Twitter had imposed on Trump in the days following the events of January 6, 2021, the day a mob of Trump’s supporters attacked the nation’s seat of government on the false premise that the 2020 general election had been stolen.

Musk finally caved into those demands and decided to reinstate Trump to Twitter after polling its users, then suggested the decision to bring Trump back was done in the spirit of democracy, exposing himself to criticism from celebrities like musicians Jack White and Trent Reznor.

King—known for revolutionizing the horror genre with hits like Carrie, The Stand and The Shining—began his criticism of Musk’s recent behavior by posting the following dad joke:

“I had to take my biscuits to the doctor. They felt crummy.”

“I had to take my biscuits to the doctor.
They felt crummy.”

— Stephen King (@Stephen King)

To his credit, he acknowledged that the joke was “pretty bad.”

“Sorry. That one was pretty bad.”

— Stephen King (@Stephen King)

Then came this zinger:

“Speaking of bad jokes, Elon Musk says Trump can get back on Twitter.”

“Speaking of bad jokes, Elon Musk says Trump can get back on Twitter.”

— Stephen King (@Stephen King)

Though Musk has officially reinstated Trump to Twitter, Trump has opted not to join the platform, preferring to devote his time to his own social media site, a conservative playground and Twitter clone called Truth Social.

But that didn’t make King’s disdain for Musk any less funny, as far as Twitter users were concerned.

King has long been an advocate for liberal policies and infamously criticized Republicans ahead of their decision to officially name Trump as the GOP’s presidential nominee in 2016, saying that they’d given a platform to a “thin-skinned racist with the temperament of a 3-year-old.”

In the last couple of years, he has become one of the more prominent voices on social media to regularly admonish Trump for pushing the lie that the 2020 general election was stolen.
