Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum Are Hilarious in the Trailer for Their New Movie | Glamour

Sandra Bullock comedies are iconic, and the trailer for her latest, The Lost City, proves she has another hit on her hands.

In the movie, Sandra Bullock plays Loretta Sage, a romance novelist promoting her new book, The Lost City of D. Channing Tatum plays Alan, a model and cover star of Loretta’s books who seems to confuse himself for Sage’s fictional character, Dash. Things don’t seem to be going right for Loretta, but then in comes Daniel Radcliffe as a very rich man in a crisp white three-piece suit. He reads Loretta’s book and wants her to help him find the titular Lost City. Except he’s not asking: He’s kidnapping her and forcing her to help.

Fortunately, Alan is determined to save Loretta after he finds out she’s gone missing because he wants her to think of him as more than a cover model. Alan finds Loretta and saves her, but unfortunately, they get a bit lost in the jungle. Other shenanigans ensue (and probably a romance as well). In the meantime, Daniel Radcliffe is chasing them down.

The trailer for The Lost City, which you can watch below, also teases a cameo from Brad Pitt as someone coming to save Loretta. Loretta asks him why he’s so attractive and he says, “My dad was a weatherman.” A perfect answer to that question.

“I don’t know if it’s because we’ve all been locked in our homes for so long, but if you can just sit in a room with someone and it’s quiet and just for no reason start laughing, and you know why the other one is laughing but you don’t know why the other one is laughing, it just makes things so much easier,” Bullock told E.W. about working with Tatum. “So yeah, I think we were separated at birth at some point in some sort of neurological experiment on brain development. And he and I feel that theory holds because no matter where you throw us, we’re still the same.”

The Lost City hits theaters March 25, 2022.
