Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang makes debut, Adama Traore gets first assist of the season, Jordi Alba scores worldie, while Dani Alves is sent off in Barcelona’s crazy win over Atletico Madrid

Barcelona leapfrogged Atletico Madrid into the top four of LaLiga with a 4-2 win in a crazy clash at the Camp Nou.

The match saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang make his Barca debut, coming on for fellow debutant Adama Traore.

Traore earlier provided an assist just 21 minutes into his second Barcelona debut having failed to get an assist in the 20 appearances he made for parent club Wolves this season.

Elsewhere, Luis Suarez netted against his former club, while in the tenth minute Jordi Alba scored a stunning volley. Assist provider for that goal Dani Alves later got on the scoresheet.

But 20 minutes scoring, Alves was sent off for a nasty challenge on Yannick Carrasco.

Diego Simeone’s Atleti have conceded 30 LaLiga goals this term, more than they conceded in the whole of their title-winning campaign last season.

Xavi’s men found themselves behind on eight minutes when Carrasco put the visitors ahead but Barca responded in the most spectacular fashion.

A searching crossfield ball from Alves was brilliantly met on the volley by Alba and the ball spun over the head of the helpless Jan Oblak and into the top corner.

Gavi then gave the home side the lead as he headed in Traore’s cross from the right before Ronald Araújo made it 3-1 just before half time.

Suarez pulled one back after Alves hammered Barca into a 4-1 lead but the defender had a moment of madness on 69 minutes which saw him head for an early bath, grazing the back of Carrasco’s leg.

But it didn’t affect Barcelona’s ability to collect all three points with ex-Arsenal man Aubameyang also getting a run-out in the final half an hour.
